Austria: Conchita to perform at Sydney Mardi Gras concert!

Rise Like a Phoenix sung by Conchita Wurst took the world’s attention with her victory at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest giving Austria their second victory to date since Udo Jurgens in 1966.

This March Conchita Wurst will perform with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra at the legendary Sydney Opera House with special guests Courtney Act of Australian Idol and RuPaul’s Drag Race fame, Trevor Ashley & Paul Capsis in partnership with Sydney Mardi Gras. This special one off concert is called From Vienna With Love.

Conchita will perform tracks from her self-titled debut album ‘Conchita which includes the winning entry Rise Like a Phoenix. This special concert is a Mardi Gras event. Australia has now joined the Eurovision family and we are sureto see more Eurovision starts follow suit to perform down under.
