Cosmetics giant again Eurovision Beauty Partner

The German cosmetics brand Schwartzkopf, owned by the global Henkel corporation based in Düsseldorf, has once again been selected as the Official Beauty Partner of the Eurovision Song Contest. For the third year running Schwarzkopf has been granted extensive pan-European media, association, event and new media rights for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest events.

According to the official Eurovision Song Contest website Schwarzkopf is one of Europe’s premier beauty brands, standing for quality, modernity and innovative strength. It is the most successful brand within the Henkel portfolio and has partnered the Eurovision Song Contest in four of the five last song contests.

Schwarzkopf was founded by Hans Schwarzkopf in 1903 and the company’s first product was a powder shampoo. The first liquid shampoo was introduced by the same company 24 years later. Schwartzkopf, using the distinctive black profile of a human head as their logo, (Schwartzkopf = black head) was bought by Henkel in 1985.
