Biography
Freddy (born Manfred Petz 27/09/31 in Vienna, Austria) or Freddy Quinn as he was called in the non-German speaking countries, started his recording career in 1954. Entering the Eurovision Song Contest in early 1956 Freddy still was an unknown artist and nobody knew that only six months later he would score the biggest hit of his career, Heimweh. Many hits like Heimatlos, La Paloma and Junge, Komm Bald Wieder would follow. Besides that Freddy would appear in many German films like Heimatlos and Heimweh Nach St. Pauli. In recent years Freddy has concentrated on his second love, the circus. He presents circus acts and schlager stars in a circus arena, and often does circus acts himself
