Eurovision Song Contest Final 1957

The 1957 contest was a good example of why we would get the three-minute rule. The song All, submitted by the United Kingdom, lasted 1:52 minutes. The next song, Corde della mia chitarra, lasted 5:09 minutes. Also it was decided the winning country would organize the next contest. 3 countries participated for the first time, the United Kingdom, Denmark and Austria, so 10 countries took part in this contest.
