Biography
Bryan Johnson is a brother to Teddy Johnson who participated for the United Kingdom in 1959. What was eluded him in 1957, when he didn't come through to the final British heats of the Eurovision Song Contest, was finally realised in 1960, when he became the UK's entrant for the Eurovision Song Contest. It wouldn't be until 1960, before Bryan would get his first recording contract. His 1960 entry, Looking High, High, High became his first and last chart hit. The subsequent release Sweetheart Tree didn't reach the charts. And so Bryan tried to enter into the Eurovision Song Contest again in 1961. Like in 1957 his song A Place In The Country didn't become the UK's entry. Some singles followed A Place In The Country, but neither of them charted and in 1963, after the release of the single Brotherhood Of Man, Bryan called it a day. Bryan Johnson died in 1995.
