Biography
Ronnie Carroll (born in 1934 in Belfast) started into showbusiness as an impersonator of Frank Sinatra and Nat 'King' Cole. After a stint of two years (1953-1955) with the touring show Hollywood Stars he started a solo career. This resulted in 3 hits in the UK prior to entering this year's Eurovision Song Contest: Walk Hand In Hand (1956), The Wisdom Of A Fool (1957) and Footsteps (1960). Next in line was his 1962 Eurovision entry Ring-A-Ding Girl, which would become his lowest charting single in the UK. But Ronnie would give it another go in 1963, returning with one of his biggest hits, Say Wonderful Things.
