Seven songs were presented in the 1963 UK national final. 16 regional juries should decide the winner and only the placings of the songs were revealed by the host of the night, who was again David Jacobs.
Ronnie Carroll won the competition again: The year before, he had already represented his country in Luxembourg to finish 4th equal with Ring-a-ding girl. He had also taken part in the 1960 UK semi finals, not reaching the final.
