Biography
1971 saw Katja Ebstein (born Karin Witkiewicz 09/03/45 in Girlachsdorf) participate for Germany for the second consecutive year. In the in between year Katja managed to score a big hit with her 1970 Eurovision entry Wunder Gibt Es Immer Wieder and the follow-up single Und Wenn Ein Neuer Tag Erwacht. Katja was so successful at the time, Germany decided to enter her for yet another year into the Eurovision Song Contest this year. More info on Katja Ebstein in te 1980-notes.
Fred Jay is best known for his work with Frank Farian. He is the man behind Boney M. hits like Ma Baker and Hooray! Hooray! It's A Holi-Holiday. (notes by René van der Drift)
