Biography
Waterloo & Robinson were Hansi Kreuzmayr and Sepperl Krassnitzer (born 15/4/48). Started as a duo they scored some hits in Austria, before having their first international success in 1975 with the song Hollywood. Used to singing in English, it was no problem for Waterloo & Robinson to enter the Eurovision Song Contest with a song in the English language, although My Little World originally was written in German and called "Meine Kleine Welt". It was the German version however that became the hit in their homeland and the other German speaking countries. As they had more success with their German hits, they started recording all their songs in both German and English from then on. Their big success in the late 70s resulted in a TV film, shot in 1978 in Africa. Hansi Kreuzmayr (Waterloo) re-entered the Austrian finals for the Eurovision Song Contest in 1983 with the song Freiheit and achieved a second placing after Westend's Hurricane and a big hit in Austria.
The composer Gerhard Heinz wrote the soundtrack for the film Julia, and was duly nominated for an Oscar.[From the RTÉ Commentary]
