Biography
Bill van Dijk never was successful as a pop singer. In fact only Jij En Ik was a minor hit for him in the Netherlands. Still Bill van Dijk is a very popular name, namely as a musical star. Coming to prominence for the first time at the beginning of the 90's in the Dutch version of Les Misérables, he went on to have huge success with musicals like Cyrano - De Musical. In 1995 he even took an English version of this originally Dutch musical to Broadway in New York for one successful season. In 1997 he added another aspect to his career, playing in a work-in progress musical called Nilsson (named after the pop singer Harry Nilsson). The course of this work-in progress musical can be changed (to a certain extent) by the people in the public.
Bill van Dijk was backe on stage by five female vocalists: Lisa Schulte Nordholt, Jody Pijper, Titia Dekker, Lisa Boray en Wanda Stellaard.
Dick Bakker also composed the 1975 Eurovision winner Ding-A-Dong for Teach-In and and wrote the lyrics to the 1978 entry 't Is OK for Harmony.
Liselore Gerritsen is a well known musical star in her own right, having worked with people like Jos Brink and Frank Sanders.
