Biography
The group consisted (for this contest) of Ala Heiler, Rainer Höglmeier, Willi Jakob, Sami Kalifa, Petra Scheeser and Christiane von Kuzschenbach.
Hanne Haller herself is a singer, who composes most of her own songs. As a singer she was very popular in Germany during the 80's. She also writes songs for other people, like this year's German entry. In the 90's Hanne Haller started concentrating more on writing songs for other people. One of the songs she wrote during that decade was Germany's choice for the 1996 Eurovision Song Contest: Leon's Blauer Planet. The international jury that had to select the 23 participating songs/countries for that year's Eurovision Song Contest decided against the song and Germany was out for a year.
