Biography
Gerard Joling, one of Holland's most popular singers, has toured extensively outside his native land. He is well known in Japan, South America, Europe, the Philippines and Hong Kong. In Taiwan his records went gold and platinum. At home he has several singles and LPs to his credit, but an absolute peak in Gerard's career so far is his duet with the inimitable Randy Crawford in "Everybody Needs A Little Rain".
Peter de Wijn started writing songs about 12 years ago and has written some 25 hits to date. Several of his songs have made the international top ten in such places as Canada, Belgium, Germany and the Far East. "Shangri-la" is ninth single in a row that Peter de Wijn wrote and produced for Gerard Joling including the Joling/Crawford duet "Everybody Needs A Little Rain". He has produced several gold and platinum albums.
Harry Van Hoof has been connected with the Eurovision Song Contest for many years. He was born in Hilversum and attended the Utrecht Conservatoire. He has worked for many different record companies with most of the well-known Dutch artists and is a frequent guest conductor with the Metropole Orchestra.
