The fourth Icelandic Eurovision Song Contest entrant was chosen during a national final. A special feature of the show was - like the two years before - the fact that the songs were not performed live but shown as pre-preduced video clips. The winner was chosen by eight regional juries.
This year, less songs than the previous years took part: five in toal. Winner was the first entry of the evening by Daniel Ágúst Haraldsson.
