Biography

Ingeborg Sergeant was born in Magnoon in 1966. At the Herman Teirlinck Studio, she studied singing technique, physical training, piano, music reading, and theatrical forms such as musical and acting. She worked for the "Zwarte Komedie" and performed at the Casino in Middelkerke. Participating in the 1988 Baccara Cup was a major step towards a fully fledged career in singing; her songs were compositions by Stef Bos, with whom she continues to work closely.

Stef Bos was born in Veenendaal (Netherlands) in 1961. At 14 he wrote his first lyrics and dialogues. In 1984 he went to the Herman Teirlinck Studio in Belgium, taking leading roles in plays and musicals. Now working in various fields: theatre, TV (satire), song writing, composition, etc. Roland Verlooven, arranger, was born in Gent in March 1938. After studies, he sold records for Vogue, then became resident producer. Between 1968 and 1978 he produced for Philips and again for Vogue. Since 1978 has been working as a freelance, producing Di Quinto Rocco, Willy Sommers, Martin De Jonghe and others. Awarded 20 Golden Discs, he has composed more than 600 songs.

Freddy Sunder was born in Antwerp in June 1931, he attended music conservatory at the age of 8. His musical career began at 15, super hits like "Calling Car Boogie", "Rio Rita" and "Kaw-liga" introducing him to international showbusiness. He worked with formations like Walter Behr, Francis Bay and Etienne Verschueren. Having developed his talents as an arranger and musical adviser, he went back to study avant-garde music with Belgian composer André Laporte. In 1981, he was appointed conductor of the BRT Jazz Orchestra. [Notes from the Official 1989 programme]
