Biography
This year Belgium will be represented by the most popular group the country has ever known: CLOUSEAU. The group was formed in 1984 and, ever since, their concerts have provoked scenes of hysterical enthusiasm to such an extent that CLOUSEAU has become a phenomenon of great interest for sociologists and experts. Their last two long-players have sold nearly 700,000 copies resulting in gold and platinum records. The popularity of the group is such that Belgium has not organized any pre-selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 1991, selecting immediately the group to represent Belgium. For the occasion the group has chosen a lively and cheerful song which confirms their "natural being" on stage: fresh, young and ready to conquer Europe.
The group consisted on stage of Koen Wauters, Kris Wauters, Bob Savenberg, Paul Poelmans, Karel Theys and Jan Leyers. The latter replaced Chris Peeters who wasn't able to perform as he had the flu. Jan Leyers, being one of the authors of the song, is better known for his work with (Leyers, Michiels &) Soulsister. With this group Jan even achieved a lot of success across the Belgian borders.
