Biography
Kyriakos Zymboulakis and Demos Van Beke are from Famagusta. They are still teenagers and are very popular among the young generation in Cyprus. In 1992 they represented Cyprus in an international festival when they sang a song by Moschovakis, the composer of the Cypriot entry to this year's Eurovision Song Contest. It was Aristos Moschovakis who discovered and encouraged the duo. They will release their new album in the near future.
Aristos Moschovakis studied music at the Ron Conservatory in Tel-Aviv and is one of the most successful composers in Cyprus. Many of his songs have been recorded by well known Greek and Cypriot singers. He is no stranger to Ireland and as a singer in the group Island represented Cyprus in the 1981 contest hosted in Dublin. He also was one of the writers of the withdrawn 1988 Cypriotic entry Thimame by Yiannis Demetrioy.
Rodoula Papalambrianou is a journalist and has been writing lyrics from an early age. She has provided lyrics for many of the well known Greek and Cypriot composers and two years ago had an important competition success.
George Theophanous has arranged 'Mi Stamatas' and will direct the orchestra. He is an award winning composer and arranger. [From the 1993 Programme by RTÉ]
