Biography
Petra Frey, a hotel management apprentice who is not yet 16, is determined to carve a brilliant career as a singer. She first appeared on screen at the age of 10, in her native Innsbruck, and recorded her first single at 12. Since then, she has published many discs on the themes of first love, and heartache, in young people's idioms. Her first album, Nothing but Dreams in my Head has just been released, and she is highly sought-after by television producers.
Alfons Weindorf, aged 29, studied percussion and piano at the Richard Strauss Conservatoire in Munich, while working in a band with his three brothers. His career as a producer began with Hildegard Knef and meanwhile he was writing songs for international artists such as the Bellamy Brothers. Since 1992 he has been collaborating with Brunner & Brunner with great success being largely due to the close connection they place on composing and producing.
Karl and Johann Brunner consistently achieve high placings in the German hit charts which have earned them gold and platinum discs. They have also had considerable success as the duo Brunner & Brunner, for which they won the Golden Tuning Fork award in 1993 and the Echo German Radio Prize last month as Germany's most successful pop band.
