Biography
Sigga (Sigriđur Beinteinsdóttir) started singing in 1980 with bands in her native Reykjavík. She has been voted Best Female Vocalist in Iceland for the past five years in succession. This is her third appearance in the Eurovision Song Contest, having been a contestant in Zagreb in 1990 as part of Stjórnin and in Malmö in 1992 with Heart 2 Heart.
Born in 1960, Friđrik Karlsson began his career as a musician while still a student in Reykjavík, and has made ten albums with his band Mezzoforte, as well as working as a session musician and producer. In 1992 he was one of the composers of the Icelandic entry. He is currently working with Sigga and a new band.
Stefán Hílmarsson, born in Reykjavík in 1966, has been involved in several previous Eurovision Contests (1988 and 1991 as a singer, 1992 as a lyricist). He is well known as a writer of songs and lyrics, and has his own group, Plahnetan, who scored a triumph with their debut album last year. [Notes from the Official 1994 Programme by RTÉ]
