Biography
Secret Garden was initially a joint project between Rolf Løvland and Irish violinist Fionnuala Sherry whom he met at the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin, when she was playing in the RTÉ Concert Orchestra. In Nocturne they are assisted by the vocalist Gunnhild Tvinnereim, Hans Fredrik Jacobsen on flute and Asa Jindar on key-fiddle.
Fionnuala Sherry is a violinist in the RTÉ Concert Orchestra. She is a well-known face on RTÉ and has performed with celebrities such as Van Morrison and Sinéad O'Connor. She also played on the Wet Wet Wet number Love is All Around.
Rolf Løvland is best known for La Det Swinge, winner in 1985. He also composed the 1994 entry Duett. In 1986 he won the Most Outstanding Song award at the World Popular Song Festival in Japan.
Petter Skavlan is a lyricist and director who in 1995 was working in Stockholm with Lill Lindfors and Brasse Brännström. [Notes from the Official 1995 programme by RTÉ]
