Biography
Bó (Björgvin) Halldórsson was born in 1951 and at the age of 18 was awarded the Icelandic Pop Trophy. Soon afterwards he was offered a recording contract and since then he has recorded over 400 songs and received 25 gold records. In 1994 he received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Icelandic Music Awards Show for his contribution to the Icelandic music scene. Bó has also featured in numerous stage shows, theatre and live performances.
Ed Welch was born in Oxford in 1947 of an Irish mother and English father. After graduating from Trinity College of Music, London, he joined United Artists Music writing arrangements until his publisher teamed him up with folk legend Tom Paxton. Since 1980 Ed has written hundreds of television theme tunes, some of the best known being Blockbusters, Catch Phrase and the BBC's National Lottery Live.
Jón Örn Marinósson was born in Reykjavík in 1946. He graduated in law from the University of Iceland in 1974. He has been working as a creative director and copywriter at the Icelandic Ad Agency in Reykjavík since 1989. Over the past 15 years he has written many satirical sketches and short stories for newspaper, radio and TV. [Notes from the Official 1995 programme by RTÉ]
