More information
Biography
Eamonn Toal originally comes from County Monaghan, but has now, after quite a number of years in London, settled down in another county of the Emerald Isle: Dunshaughlin Co. Meath. Here he lives together with his wife Sandra. Like his four brothers and three sisters, he has inherited his love for and interest in music from his parents. Eamonn has studied music at the Del Canto School in Dublin and has also worked together with Irish showbiz celebrities like Frank McNamara and Shay Healy.
Gerry Simpson has his own recording studio in his hometown of Drogheda and has co-written songs with many Irish composers. Gerry has had a strange ability to qualify for different song contests abroad, in places like Egypt, Malta, Turkey and Bulgaria. This year it was first time luck for him in the Irish Eurovision pre-selection.
Co-writer Raymond J. Smyth however took part for the third time. Last time for him was in 1996, when his song "Missing you", performed by Dav McNamara, was the runner-up behind "The voice" which went on to win the ESC in Oslo that year. Raymond has also written songs which have qualified for contests in the USA, Benelux and London, to name a few. To date, he has produced over 60 albums for Irish recording artists.
