Biography
The band Taxi was formed in 1999. In a very short time, the band has managed to conquer a great number of fans. Due to their political lyrics, they even have fans among the members of the Romanian Parliament. They have had two hits with the songs "Cryogenia Saves Romania" and "Here is your money". The members of the group are: Lucian Cioaga (born in 1974) playing the drums, Adrian Bortun (born in 1966) playing the bass, George Patranoiu (born in 1973) playing the guitar, Georgiana Pana (born in 1977) playing the panpipe and Dan Teodorescu (born in 1965) vocals.
Composer and lyricist Dan Teodorescu was born on March 7 in 1965. At the age of five, he was imitating Tom Jones, to his family's delight. When he was 19, he had become the singer of REV - a band that he had rehearsed with in a basement for a year and a half, not giving concerts until he considered himself ready. In 1993, Dan finished an album in English, himself being both composer, lyricist and sole performer. In addition, he has also composed for many Romanian performers.
