Biography
Sarit Hadad (23) is a very popular singer in Israel. She was choosen as the woman of the year and best female singer of the year. The song Light a Candle is half in English and half in Hebrew. It was composed and written by Tzvika Pik and Yoav Ginai, the same team who composed the Eurovision winning song Diva for Dana International in 1998.
Sarit Hadad, a member of an all–musicians family, started to perform professionally at the age of eight. She is a phenomenal singer, with nine albums behind her, all of which achieved quadruple platinum status. Sarit has an amazing musical talent and an impressive record of dozens of "Best Female Artist" awards, with songs that have climbed to the top of the charts and countless performances in Israel, Europe, and the USA.
Sarit has learned to play the drums, the organ, the guitar, the accordion, and the Darbouka drum all by herself. She has also seen success in neighboring countries, mainly in Jordan, being the first Israeli singer ever to perform there. She sings in French, English, Arabic, Georgian, Caucasian, Turkish, and of course, Hebrew.
