Biography
Corinna May, representing Germany, has participated three times in the preliminary rounds of the Eurovision Songcontest. In 1999 the singer was chosen to represent Germany at the Eurovision final contest. Later on her victory was annulled when it turned out that the author of the song had performed this song earlier to public. In 2000 Corinna May was second in the preliminary round.
This year, her song "I can´t live without music" filled the German audience with enthusiasm and created sensation by winning the majority of votes for her performance. Once again the successful team Ralph Siegel (composer) and Bernd Meinunger (lyrics) will be sending one of their artists to the Eurovision Songcontest.
Corinna May, who has been blind since birth, is a singer who can expect international succssess due to her exeptional voice. Corinna is looking forward to performing her song in Tallinn and would like to take the other European countries by storm with her music. "I can´t live without music" is more than just the title of a song for her: these words describe her philosophy of life and everyone who hears her sing, will immediately sense Corinna´s special attitude towards performing her music.
She discovered her passion for music at a very young age. After some guest performances in school choires she finally selected for a gospeel choir. There she felt at home right away because she was able to show what power lies within herself and her voice. The positive expeerience kicked-off Corinna´s career as a singer which, after numerous record productions, will lead her to the fulfillment of her dreams on May 25th: the Grand Prix d´Eurovision. On stage in Tallinn she will once again be supported by her succsessful powerpack from Kiel: Queensize, Phillyz and Nadine.
Before embarking on her journey to Tallinn, Corinna May likes to relax during a nice dinner with good friends. To keep herself fit for her show in Estonia the singeer maintain her daily fitness regime and whenever she doesn´t feel like working out, she enjoy going to the movies with her friends. But what she loves most in music and singing true her philosophy "I can´t live without music".
