Biography
Mija Martina Barbaric was born in Mostar on 26 April 1984. She was bitten by the music bug with her first triumph, in a children's festival when she was only three and a half. This was followed by many more festivals, in Split, Mostar, the Turbo-limach show, and then, when she was sixteen, by her first professional appearance at the FORTE festival. This set off a succession of increasingly impressive performances at festivals, because «when you're 17 you can do anything». Her performances at festivals in Mostar, the Zagreb-fest (twice), and Bihac, were particularly noted, as was her winning the «Davorin» award, and being twice among the candidates to represent BiH in the Eurovision Song Contest. She was proclaimed talent of the year at the international radio festival in Koper. In addition to all these festivals she has also appeared many times on radio and TV. When she is not behind the microphone, she studies hard to graduate from high school and music school. She plays the piano and the flute, but admits to having somewhat neglected them lately. She works as a journalist and presents a music programme on HTV Mostar. She puts something of herself into each of her songs, and conceives all her own performances, from choreography to the way she looks.
Ines Prajo was born in Mostar and lives in Rijeka. She has been a professional musician for twelve years, and has composed the music for many songs performed by "Prljavo kazalište", Giuliano, "Meritas", Davor Radolfi, and many other artistes in Croatia and Slovenia. In BiH she is known for composing the music for all the songs so far performed by Mija Martina Barbaric.
Arjana Kunštek, lyricist, was born in Mostar and lives in Rijeka. She works in collaboration with many musicians in Croatia and Slovenia ("Colonia", Giuliano, "Latino", "Meritas", Maja Blagdan, "Foxy teens", Marta Zore and many others). She writes the lyrics for the songs performed by Mija Martina.
