The Cypriot final saw 10 songs, which were selected by broadcaster CyBC out of 62 submitted entries. The show was hosted by Loukas Hamatsos, who made a remarkable impression to the Eurovision community by giving Cyprus' points in 2003. "United" is a boyband, made from members of both Greek-Cypriot and Turkish-Cypriot origin.
