For a small country, Andorra held a complex preselection. Fall 2003, broadcaster RTVA invited Andorran inhibitants to a casting show, selecting 40 contestants to compete against 3 already established artists. Marta Roure and Bis a Bis, both professional singers, were chosen as finalists.
RTVA selected 12 songs for them, who were whittled down through weekly televised selections to find the song for Istanbul.
