This year, German broadcaster NDR cooperates with music channel Viva for the national preselection. Eight songs have been supplied by record companies, Viva plays the videoclips and specials (Euroclash) about the participants. A wild card has been given to winner of Stefan Raab's casting show SSDSGPS, Max Mutzke.
