Biography
Jonatan Cerrada Moreno is from Spanish origin but born in Liège (Wallonia-Belgium) on 12 September 1985. Jonatan lives in Ans, close to Liège.
At the age of 8 Jonatan starts singing in a choir and sometimes he even sings solo the Royal Opera of Wallonia in Liège. Bit by bit, he turns to variety and jazz and he starts to attract attention at the many contests he participates at. Jonatan sings covers as well as songs that his mother wrote for him.
In 1997, Jonatan makes his first television appearance at "Pour la Gloire" on Wallonia's first channel. Jonatan reaches the semi final of this contest in which he participates in the junior category for youngsters aged 11-16. (also Mélanie Cohl, who represented Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1998, was discovered in "Pour la Gloire) In 2000, Jonatan participates once again at "Pour la Gloire" and reaches the third final round this time.
On 23rd February 2003, Jonatan participates at the castings of "A la Recherche de la Nouvelle Star", the French version of Idols, broadcasted by M6. Jonatan makes it to the 10 finalists who can present themselves to the audience during several weeks. The Belgian defeats all French on their own territory and becomes the French Idol, resulting in a contract with BMG.
His first single "Je voulais te dire que je t'attends" is an enormous success and the full album "Siempre 23" follows. With "Rien ne me changera", the next single taken from this album, Jonatan keeps attacking the charts. Something that doesn't stay unnoticed as France 3 asked Jonatan to represent France at the Eurovision Song Contest.
All his knowledge: singing, dancing, piano, guitar, writing and compose songs, linguistic skills (jonatan speaks spanish, french, english and italian),... make Jonatan Cerrada a very promissing artist, aged only 17.
