Biography
Michael Hajiyanni was born Michalis Hadjiyiannis in Nicosia in 1978. He has already had great local success with two platinum albums, the first, Scenario, which was released when Michael was just 16 years old. He is now recording his third album. He has twice reached the Cypriot finals of the Eurovision Song Contest and on both occasions came second. So it was third time lucky for Michael, who is currently finishing his final months of military service before continuing a musical career.Zenon Zindilis studied in the United Kingdom and has a post-graduate degree in international relations and diplomacy. He has worked as a radio and TV producer in the last few years. His love of music led him to start writing his own lyrics and for some time now he has collaborated with Michael Hajiyanni.
Costa Cacoyannis is Musical Director of Cyprus’ best-known cultural association, Diastasis. In this capacity he has worked with many top international artists, including Nana Mouskouri, Georges Moustaki, Giorgos Dalaras and film/theatre director Michael Cacoyannis. Costa has written three full-length ballet scores and music for American TV movies. He has performed around the world, including Chicago, Moscow, London and Athens.
