jus listened to the songs above. and while out of the bunch there are only a selection of good songs i still think so far, that this years dora will be a tad better than last years, then again, croatia is still in decline from its so called glory days. keeping to the point, my fave songs (artists) in no order from the above selection is:
1-Pero Galic
2-Vlatka
3-Antonija

i thought ivana banfic would send something better, but she didnt :-( she has much better songs.

Ivana Banfic will win in DORA 2008.Only that song is poferfull and if that send Croatia this year, they will be on the top10 od the final.
Antonia`s song is great but isn`t for Eurovision

Nice songs this year!
My favourite at the moment is Mir, but I like also Kaži mi (even if it's a bit too Molitva, he he), Gdje je srce tu je dom, Otvori mi oči, Dotakni zvijezdu, Idi leđa mi okreni...
And these are only the first 11!

OK Dragan

SRETNO is croatian standard language, and SRITNO is dalmatian dialect! (i assume you probably know that)

@ vatroslav
"we say sretno" Who "we"?
I know people in Croatia who say "sritno", the others who say "sretno" and the others who say "sretno".
Still can't realise the importance of saying the "right" form, if everyone knows what it means.
Anyway, good luck Croatia :)

Well....I only said how do we say. And we say "sretno"!

Dragan :-) [24273]

@ Vatroslav
And, why should they?
Shouldn’t be the good wishes what is important rather then the form, language or dialect?

+Boris Zed

we say "sretno" not "srecno" OMG why anybody cannot say the right form?????????????!!

It's sad that most of the songs are not outstanding, memorable... so boring.... :S

I hope there will be much better songs.... because if not Croatia will not qualifie to the Final in ESC 2008.
It is a shame that Croatia only can send boring songs too ESC :S They did really good job in 1998,1999,2001... those songs had quality....

It's really sad because Croatia is a country with really beautiful music but still they send terrible songs. I only liked the one with Antonija.

Good Luck!

Only one song here that I liked, Antonija.

Good luck Croatia! I hope you don't do the wrong choice, like in 2004 when Andrea (- Noah) didn't came to the final.

Ivana Banfic's 1991 Jugovizija tune was indeed quite good and progressive for the times, only she looked and sounded crap on stage. That farewell YU preselection was won by Bebi Dol who looked and sounded marginally less crap, thus making it possible for "Brazil" to become an underground ESC favourite.

I hope Croatia's recent ESC problem (choosing the wrong song) ends this year.

@ Coolio: hehe.... ;)

I still cannot believe how somebody could actually write such a blatant rip-off of "Molitva" and try to get away with it! Anyway, this is all much better than last year. Seems that Croatia is picking up pace. Good luck!

Not a bad selection. Ivana Banfic & Antonija Sola are the best offerings. Martina's song is very listenable but just too old-fashioned.

As for Vlatka Grakalic, this is just a cynical re-working of Molitva. This is an example where imitation is definitely not the sincerest form of flattery.

Just when I thought Croatia reached the bottom, there they go again... even lower than last year...
What do we have here?
Martina = Listen to your heartbeat(Swe2001)
Vlatka, Ivana = Molitva (Ser07)
Kraljevi = last 2 Dora songs mixed in 1, no originalty
Gianni = oldfashioned melody, no charizma...

Probably only "normal" song is Antonija's, but it's obvious her singing is very bad, and even if she wins, no chance for anything bigger in Belgrade...

.... yack Croatia!

" Vlatka Grakalić - Kaži mi " is the only good song here.
And this song also, is a mixture of million songs.
Very bad Croatia.
I don't think you want another year without the final.
Am I right?
But I still believe, that the good songs will come.
Croatia has a lot to offer. At least I think so ...

2008 is the year of Ivana Banfic, but the song is weak!
She entered the 1991 Yugovizija with "Daj Povedi Me" (the last one of the United Jugoslavia) and she was the hot favourite.
There are rumors about her partecipation in the 1999 Dora with "Imam te", a dance song which became a big hit in Croatia.
Srecno Hrvatska!

Ivana Banfić - Mir - The best song
Vlatka Grakalić - Kaži mi - Nice, but completely remainds of Maria's Molitva...

Amzing song from Ivana Banfic O.o Strong violin intro!

Boring songs indeed :S

Ivana Banfic - has something, but that "something" needs a lot of hype mood to be noticed as "proper".

Martina - lol, beginning is like "Mangup" [ESC 1988] sung by Tereza Kesovija and chorus is like Magazin's "the best of 1985-1987" edition.

Kraljevi ulice - omg, this Tasko Nacic-alike singer and his geriatric crew are still alive ?!? It is big question: who is more boring - their stupid songs OR televoters who keep voting them 2nd place on Dora for years? :S

Vlatka - copy of "Molitva" :S ..it's always stupid to cover previous winner on ESC...

Gianni - among the others - ok, but still (fashion-TV- languageLY said) - has no personality :P

Darko, what "COOLER and more stylish" side? Cooler and more stylish always come together ;) :P 8)

out of those I liek Ivana's and Antonija's songs :D

HAHA, more than a passing nod to "Molitva" in Vlatka Grakalic's song, in a different packaging, of course...funny. :P

Elsewhere, Antonija Sola could do well at ESC, but my favourites so far are Hari Roncevic and Dino & Bane, their songs on the cooler, more stylish side of things.

BORIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING !!!

It was painful for my ears..... how BORING songs....

Aldo I must say Ivana Banfic is quiet good. Hope they will chose her if this is the best songs from Dora.

You must admit it can't be worse than last year....and Ivana is way better than Dado and Dragonfly !!!

Dragan :-) [24273]

I am disappointed. Boring songs. Hope the other songs are better. Only Ivana Banfic or Antonija Sola can stand out from this 11.
Martina is the worst.

Well done, Croatia! "Kazi mi" and "Mir" are very very good songs, I like them very much!
"Gdje je srce tu je dom" can win Dora i think, it is not so bad choice, but can Antonija sing live? We will see.
Maja Blagdan, Emilija Kokic, Giuliano, Ivana Radovnikovic, Tamara Obrovac ... Cant wait to hear your songs in monday.
