Dr Frankenstein is fantastic! It's like raining men-lola's theme (ok not as strong but still good) this is exactly the kind of song the UK should send. I thought it was going to be some kind of awful monster mash vampires are alive farce but I really, really like it! and I haven't had much chance to say that this year...

'Dr. Frankenstein' is pure rubbish, how can u consider this crap has chances to win? I tend to hate this kind of 'leftovers' from the MF, that are so bad that hurt in the ears. They don't want this shitty stuff in Sweden, so it get spread all over Europe.

'Shine', in the other hand, is a bore. There's no passion in it, no climax. Only a boring ballad that ends the same way it started. 3 minutes wasted in nothing. I don't really care if that Måns composed it: it goes nowhere and it doesn't stand out, for sure.

I wil be comentating in row like the viewing-list on the following linkhttp://www2.tvr.ro/eurovision/
Semifinala 1- 9 februarie
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Pe-o margine de lume
We begin with a duet. A long time ago we never had such a duet in harmony. If the norwegian entry in 1994 from Elisabeth Andreassen & Jan Werner Danielsen with their “Duett” ends up on the 6th place than this duett would do much much better in this deccade. Or better said: this duett and song is a class better than what Monica Anghel
& Marcel Pavel brought on stage with ‘Tell me why’ in Estonia in 2002 on the 9th spot.
This song begins with a slow mysterious sound and finishes in beauty. It is like a ROSE that sees the sunshine trough the clouds and begins to grow in beautyness and ends with love.
Eurovision-friendly, well thought melody and lyrics that brings the listener to higher levels in emotions and thoughts. Full in harmony with themselfs on stage with a pastel-blue colouring on the background. The song builds-up in style and gives a memorable feeling even when the 3 minutes are done. In half italian and half Romanian. 2 sister languages could have never combined so well. By the way Nico has a very sexy voice.. he can sing beautiful without a doubt. This song should represent Romania in my view. We need more ballads this year to listen the songs, and not to watch to song-shows on stage. It gets directly my 12 points. Romania flawlessly seen in the final with this epic-emotional song. Multiemesc xxx [ this is a real song ;) ]

2. La storia della pioggia
Nice tickings on the instruments an african darbuka with tasty sauce on the guitar. Acapella-ish with fluently singing in full italian. The Romanians surely like the italian language without italy in the contest. Very very charming in purple-yellow lights. It’s a soft form of singing like watching fishes in an aquarium. Silenceness falls like snowflakes of the viewer and listener. Difference in tiny rhythyms. This would get my 10 points. But it will struggle to get to the final. With song it would go down or you would get recognised in silenceness as i said. I never heard a pitoresque song like this before.
Nice, very nice :)

3. Te iubesc
This songs brings the jazzy trompet sounds back in 2008. it is a heavy slow entry that grows in a very difficult way. The singing is only ‘good’ nothing special. The chorus isn’t giving the impact like the first 2 songs. It is like a modern version of the song ‘Nuna’ from Bo Halldorson (1995) who got the 15 place. But this would end lower between 43 countries. Also a nice song, only to listen in a family-friendly pub or cafe after a hardwork in the weekend. Difficult. It gets 4 points from me. The jazzy background sound is the only savior of this song. The category for this song would be “Soft-rock-ballad-ish”

4. Dr Frankenstein
What is this for god-sake? A modern up-tempo version of the Love-Boat maybe. The beats in the song are weak actually and that’s why maybe the song doesn’t flow from the screen into your house. It a song wherby you can dance in a discotheque next to a beach somewhere in Mallorca (Spain). But the song goes to no where. I don’t like it. An ugly melody and ugly singing that rolls in a monotone disco-flavoured style. The only thing the viewer will remember is like you will hear on a broken-LP is: ‘doktor Frankenstein’ . The flying of the cameras made me sick for a while. hehe
Pfff.. No flying (final) ticket with this. On the other hand the Romanian final is full of braveness to open the door to artists abroad. (like Poland by the way)

5. Zamira
??? is Europe ready for this ?? in bad English (for laughing i assume) “this songK is about” .. and this is worser than DOKTOR FRANKENSTEIN.
Plizz, someone has to stop the simultaniously singing of ‘ taka tika taka tika taka tika tak tak tak .. “ This isn’t either a song. It is a mixed Spaghetti sauce where you will have to tast 5 to 6 different tastes.. bah, yeek.. No no no .. 2 points. Why 2 points? Because for their courage to bring this noise on stage. Zamira, taka tika Zamika rika tika.. and it goes on and on ..

6. Love Is All I Need
Oh my God, this is getting worser.. This is (at the same time) worser than ‘Rufus’ in 2003 with the song ‘Eighties coming back’ .. Crampy singing in a green background. Nothing grows in this song. Strange and at the same time senceless. Not my cup of tea. A few esc-fans between you will certainly like it. Not on a high standard to ride fluently to the finals in Belgrade. Nope not a chance. But slightly better than the previous song. 5 points would be more than enough.

2nd part will come soon

1rst comment. (the second one will come)

The Romanian National final the first 12 entries : personal comments:

When time slowly passes by we have a clear view on the methods that (especially eastern european) countries national broadcasters are using or want to use.

Poland for instance has obtained for a rulement whereby the participants had to make a video. And as a early mentioned they are a diamond worth each of them (visualy seen on the video). On the other hand we don’t know how they will sound on a stage. Poland wants to bring more professionalism in house to bring the quality level higher then the last 3-4 years in their national finals.

Romania in fact brings us totally something different in a more clear view. TVR obtained not for videos for example, but the way of working is more varied in a tasty way.
The artist has to bring their song infront of the real camera work on a real stage (in a little sport-complex i assume). The Romanian final is more defined and more various in tunes; colours and styles. Here we have a without a doubt a better view how the performance would be on stage in real terms. And I think that afterwards there will be made 1 video, and that of the winning song from their National Final. A very very clean National final without any tra-la-la.. Does someone knows a national final from any country’s broadcast used this system? It’s a nice and clever system so the Romanian people would have an idea how their participants eventually would perform on stage.

Mine personal comments on the songs will follow. Stay tuned ;)

fatixxx
