4 of this year's Eurostars to sing
Exclusive: Ukraine will choose from 5 songs
esctoday.com can reveal that there will be five songs presented, one more than previously thought. Ani Lorak will present five songs to be voted on. One in Ukrainian, one in Russia and three in English. You can hear the songs by clicking on the tites below. The songs are:
1. Zhdu Tebya (Waiting for you) - Russian
2. Ya Stanu Morem (I'll become Like Sea) - Ukrainian
3. The Dream of Brighter Day (English)
4. I'll be your lady - English
5. Shady Lady - English
In addition to her performances, four artists who have already won their place at the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest will present their entries in the show. They are:
1. Morena from Malta
2. Tereza Kerndlova from Czech Republic
3. Georgeta (Geta) Burlacu from Moldova
4. Elnur Huseynov and Samir Javadzadeh from Azerbaijan
Although the show is set to be popular with Eurovision Song Contest fans, there will however be no webcast available.

Shady Lady would be a great song after Verka. Ukraine love uptempo catchy tunes!
shady lady is great - it sounds like a modern song that could have been done by groups like girls aloud or sugababes... and it is catchy .... sounds like a eurovision winner. Song nr 3 is okey too.... but i think that the whole package will look alot better woth Shady Lady... otherwise both the russian and the ukranian song are okey as well...

for me SHADY LADY!!!!!!!!! and i bet it will be a spectacular performance in the international final - and maybe Kiev 2009
I like all 5 but the strongest of them are song 1 and song 5 followed by song 2

You are one of my favorite ESC countries... I believe in you... Ani Lorak is too good for cheap songs like Shady Lady...

Shady Lady is GREAT!!! The first GREAT dance song at eurovision!!! Amazing production!!! I can see Kiev 2009 with this song!
"Zhduu tebya" is the best. The 1st time I heard all the songs it was the only one I liked... "The dream of a brighter day" is quite good and "Shady lady" is nothing special...
WOW great songs Ukraine! I'm glad to see you haven't gone for the Verka factor this year!!! you may have gone from what (in my opinion) was the worst ESC song ever to one of the best songs this year!(even though that isn't saying much)
The Dream of Brighter Day is the best I think quickly followed by Zhadu Tebya and Shady Lady, the only one I don't REALLY like is I'll be your lady!
i think theyre all pretty poor and for the first time the beauty of the blue and yellow of ukraines flag may not grace the esc final scrren on saturday 24th
there best shot is the kinda cathy shady lady
Khalid is right! Zhdu Tebya" is a great ballad! the best in the selection. non of the songs stand out. Shady Lady will win for many reasons but for me it is cheap and the chorus is confusing. Ani would look unique with a rich elegant ballad. I dont like her singing in english either.
My opinion:
1. The Dream of Brighter Day (English) --- The best, most catchy refrain.
2. Zhdu Tebya (Waiting for you) (Russian) --- It's pretty nice, but boring.
3. Shady Lady (English) --- Ugly.
4. I'll be your lady (English) --- Uglier.
5. Ya Stanu Morem (I'll become Like Sea) (Ukrainian) --- Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....
she's good looking woman.
but she would be more beautifull without this thing she have near her lips (dont know the word)
Ani is indeed beautiful, she reminds me a bit of Courtney Cox in this particular photo. Good luck to Ukraine, the land of the most beautiful women in the world!
The girl is beautiful and has a good voice, but all the songs are mediocre. I don't think that any of these ones could win in Belgrade. I would prefer "The Dream Of Brighter Day" though...
"Zhdu Tebya" is a great ballad, I love it! It's so beautiful and shows the vocal skills of Ani perfectly.
The others are just so-so, plus Ani's english is very poor.

Shady Lady is AWFUL !!!!
I've got to say the The Dream of a Brighter Day is my favourite, although none of them are unpleasant.
by the way, my fave is The Dream of Brighter Day
Shady Lady is a good dance song, but not strong enough to win. I think the best chance would be for I'll Be Your Lady (though I'm sure she sings I'll Be Your Melody?)
the name of the 4th song is "I'll be your melody"
this information was confirmed by her record label (which is the most reliable source after NTU imo) yesterday.

Shady Lady is perhaps the most obvious choice, but it isn't very good. It's only OK, but nothing that I will vote for in May.
