Romania proves all accusations wrong
Already reported by esctoday.com, claims that the song is a copy of Spanish song La magia del Corazon by David Bustamante have been investigated and refuted by an expert musical panel. There are vague similarities, but the same could be set of several other songs. The song is clearly no plagarism.
Additional accusations that the winning songwriter's father was on the reserve jury that voted in the national final have also been investigated and proved to be without foundation. A rumour that the winner's tickets to Belgrade and the Greek national final were booked the day before the final are also untrue.
Evidence proves that Nico and Vlad's travel arrangements were booked and confirmed AFTER their victory on Saturday night. A final accusation, that the song was commercially broadcast prior to 1st October 2007 has now been disproved. In an official statement to esctoday.com, Romanian national broadcaster, TVR states clearly:
"The accusation you are talking about was brought to our attention before the final, by messages on the website. The information also appeared on Mr Partos's blog, but, when asked, he denied that he had posted it there.The composer, Andrei Tudor, requested from the Romanian Union of Musicologists and Composers a document attesting to the truth of the accusation. The union asked for the playlists of the national radio channel in September and the song "Pe o margine de lume" didn't appear on the playlist. We have the official document".
This proves that the radio station did not play the song. Under music law, all songs aired on public radio must be declared to the union so that accurate royalty payments can be made and charts can be compiled.

10301 people are stone deaf?! 10301 people know nothing of music? 10301 people signed a petition against the "winner" song and how it was chosen. They are not "sore losers" as some people here described them.. They are a signal that something is wrong with our institution, the national broadcaster.

Plus. The fact that esctoday was in close contact with the Romanian broadcaster (discriminatory and chauvinist one) isn't much too good of a thing, right? If contest rules allowed Biondo to take part in our contest and be welcomed here.. Then they should have stood a chance of winning. But alas, no, watch the above video and you'll see....

Perhaps you should try and find out whether the expert panel was impartial, Mady...but then, of course, someone will have to find out whether YOU are impartial, too!! And will this someone be impartial??? Case for Mrs Marple!

Allow me to doubt their impartiality. Did anyone check WHO did the panel consist of?
Oh guys, just stop this crazy discussion that doesn't lead anywhere. Why do you think Biondo would score even better than Nico & Vlad? It's a ballad as well, and top of that, a BORING one. Plus, is sung by foreigners and in ENGLISH. What's so great about it? They had no chances either. Biondo is dead and well buried, luckily. Let "Shine" rest in peace, for God's sake!

Wish U bad luck, Romania! Hate our entry, too. Hope will end up as low as it can... We'll pass the Semi, it seems, thanx to Moldova, Spain and Israel who'll support us, and maybe some few others in the Semi, but speaking about the Final now, hope to end up real low, at the bottom, maybe...Last place could be perfect!

I must admit, lissa, that I love Biondo's song, I think it could have done even better than the winning song, but that's not the point. The fact that so many people told you about the errors they got when they wanted to vote for Biondo is rather obvious, it doesn't prove anything: people who tried to vote for the winner but failed wouldn't complain afterwards because their favourite is the winner anyway.
Dear JOHN today... 1st, I said the part with the error message, because that happend to MANY people. I talked with many people that received this message, and I read a lot of comments in wich people talk about this errors... 2nd: I won't go to court, even if a lot of people could support me... 3rd... I see that u like this song... but Vlad Mirita sang bad at the final... whatever... what will be, will be... I still hate romanian people...
duma, the project manager for romania just suuuuck!!!!come on 50 % televoting and 50 % jury that means that biondo and nico are on a tie ,but due to tvr rules biondo wins because it has more 12 than nico...in our selection was bassically 75 % televoting ....shame tvr!!!!go biondo!!!!!!

Them performance in Greece (preselection) was so great! I hope, that it was live performance, not playback. Very nice song, particularly on the stage. Good luck Romania from Poland 
'Many votes were not registered, because a lot of people received errors'. How do you know this only happened to people voting for Biondo This is one of those rumours that is spread in a preselection every year.
If you really think, lissa, that the people responsible for the investigation (that showed no irregularities) are al corrupt, then go to court. But don't spread rumours that you cannot prove.
Anyway, the winning song is good and will probably do well in Belgrade.

Because you don't know what that means, I'll translate you how I can... Televoting lines will be open publicy. They will be open 40 minutes and the partial results will be known/public every 5 minutes at the tv channel that will transmit in this perioad.

That would have weight the results heavily because everyone would have seen where is favorite artist is placed and that he or she have to call more times to get him to the top position.
Without that everyone just calls as often as he/she think it should be and that's it.
That's a total unfair exertion of influence on the public!
Be fair and accept the fact that your favourite hasnt won.
It's not that they are my favorites. I'm saturate to repeat the same things 1000 times...
1. Many votes for Biondo were not registred, because a lot of people received errors.
2. The results of the televoting were not showed during the 40 minutes of voting.
3. If the calculations were the same like in previous years, it been 50% for Nico and 50% for Biondo.
I can accept Pe o margine de lume, but the rules weren't rules for everyone, so...

Excuse me but what you're saying about the jury deciding always for Romania isnt true. Let me remind you Nico & Vlad won the televote this year, not Biondo.
Besides, in 2006, Akcent won the televote but Mihai was jury's choice. Could you honestly say it was a bad one considering the 'great' voices of Akcent boys? All I'm saying is that letting them decide at times ( even if it wasnt the case this year) isnt such a bad idea after all.
I CAN'T BELIEVE!!! What are you doing, people? You're supposed to do REAL investigations, not to ask the romanian jury and others like those... It's clear that u don't care about this! But wait... you didn't find the answer for other problems... As I already said in other comments, a lot of people hwo tried to vote for Biondo, received ERRORS!!! And TVR didn't showed the results of the televoting every 5 minutes during the 40 minutes of voting (this can be proved easily)! What can you say about this? Or maybe i shouldn't ask, because you'll talk with the members of the jury, and the Romanian final (ESC) organizers. I'm totally DISAPPOINTED!!! If "Pe o margine de lume" won fair, I'dd have nothing to reproach.
