Sasa Mirkovic joins Slovenian team
Slovenia: Help from last year’s winning producer
Rebeka Dremelj will join forces with renowned Serbian producer Sasa Mirkovic, the former manager of Marija Serifovic, winner of the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest. Sasa is credited for developing Marija from a raising star in Serbia into a Eurovision winner during their two year association. The association between Sasa and Marija recently came to an end.
Working with the Slovenian team on this join-venture, Sasa will look for ways to best promote and present the entry from Slovenia Vrag naj vzame or Heavy weather as the song is called in English. On this association Sasa said ‘I think that our cooperation with great efforts can show brilliant results on the upcoming Eurosong contest in Belgrade’.
Rebeka is confident of finding success with this joint-venture ‘My carrier is taking a new chapter from now on. I am so glad that Sasa Mirkovic is producer of this great project, and I hope that we can make a great result together’.
Slovenia will take part in the first semi final of the Eurovision Song Contest on 20th May.

@ Akis GREECE ............
Cheers mate- I got it!
Let's wait and see what Rebeka can prepare for Belgrade, I hope she'll give her best and surprise us with good performance. First I though her song is very average but now when all songs for 2008 have been chosen I say that there are chances for final, but only with some exceptional performance.
I would definately be more emotionally attached to our entry if we had chosen Langa, Brigita, Ylenia or Eva but I am happy that Devil called Rebeka will sing in slovene! At least something I can look forward to.
Bad move Rebeka. Sasa Mirkovic is responsible for big decrease of Marija's popularity caused by many wrong activities and scandals directed by Mirkovic.
Luckily, Marija finished cooperation with him, but Rebeka just started. Doesn't sound promising.
Slovenia will remain in the Semi, and will never win! Alenka Gotar was 15th in the Final last year, less than Romania! Be realistic.
Since i cannot vote in my own country here is my TOP5:
1.Switzerland
2.Norway
3.Slovenia
4.Russia
5.Poland
There are also a few more enjoyable songs, but the rest is not!
I agree with T K, this songs is much better in Slovenian while the English version is rather silly. I hope they go for a Slovenian version from start to finish

I think that word BEOVIZIJA went from YUGOVIZIJA and the fact that is happening in BELGRADE... or how we say on serbian BEOGRAD....
Do you see BEOgrad and yugoVIZIJA ....
Beovizija=a name that clearly derives from the term "Yugovizija"
Beoton= a name that clearly derives from Yugoton, one of the major record companies of the Yugoslav era
..What else about Yugonostalgija? :-P
Slovenian team will do a lot of things and changes in song Vrag naj vzame(Choreography, arrangement). EUROPE VOTE FOR SLOVENIA!!!!

I win the anorak of the year award.
The chorus sounds very similar to music the BBC used in the 1980s for regional news....

lol with such a fabulous comment.....showing your age now matey
My favourite this year so far! Well done Slovenia
great song but pleeeeeeaaaaaasssseeeeeeeeeeee eeeee perform in slovene!
Well, the Slovenian entry is an average(3/5, yellow) one, in my opinion. But, if the ESC is fair, it should definitly qualify for the final!
In the final, doesn't deserve Top10!
I really like the slovenian song... Slovenia will qualify again!
Good luck from Portugal!
THE SONG IS GREAT!!!
I hope she's aware of what she's letting herself into.
I think Slovenia will qualify... I don't know, I find this song one of the best this year....
Slovenia is one of my favourite countries and i want them to do well every year. I love the song, my heart says qualifier but my mind says not quite :'(
I don't think Slovenia can qualify with this. It's a poor song, totally unoriginal and dated (the chorus reminds me of tv commercials from the early 90s) Plus most of Slovenia's biggest supporters (Serbia, Croatia, FYR Macedonia, Switzerland) vote in the other semi. Since the best slovenian entry ever, "Stop" didn't make it this will do even worse.
Still, good luck.
You just have to love Rebeka, she's an incredibly beautiful and warm- hearted creature and her song is very catchy both in Slovenian and English! I hope she will achieve the best Slovenian result ever, she'd definitely deserve it! She will give us an amazing performance for sure as she certainly knows how to behave on stage and how to be as charming as possible!
Go, Rebeka- sweetheart! Go, SLOVENIJA!!!

well i like the song, its nice, not nearly as nice as she is but oh well...and her slovenian version was so much better...but still this is ok as well
the only thing that can make her win is that at the last chours while she's singing about the heavy weather a thunder strikes into her and then she burns on the stage... this would probably work.
