Four more versions to be released

FYR Macedonia: Song in english for Belgrade

According to mmm.com.mk, Tamara, Adrian and Vrcak will be performing this year's FYR Macedonian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest in English. Four more versions of Vo ime na ljubovta will be released, in Russian, Serbian, Albanian and Turkish.

It seems that Tamara, Vrcak and Adrian have decided to go for a new version of Vo ime na ljubovta in English for May which will be entirely in English. Vo ime na ljubovta was remastered in the Netherlands after being finalised by Vrcak as well as Valentino Skenderovski and Robert Bilbilov. The final string arrangement was made by Kire Kostov. The song will also be released in Russian, Serbian, Turkish and Albanian , the latter being sang by Adrian. Each version of the song will have a separate video clip. Adrian, assisted by a well-known German choreographer will be responsible for the choreography of the song.

The trio, besides visiting neighbouring Slovenia, Croatia and Bulgaria, will soon be headed to Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy as well as some CIS countries.

Special thanks to Boyan Nanev for the submission of the information.

It isn't a bad song.....
i don't understand why so many people are bagging it??? But i guess thats there choice anyway :)
I think if they have a strong stage presence and great choreography, the song could do well!!

good luck ;)

don't really give a f*** it is in Macedonian or English even though the English version sounds better.
If Gadza helps them do a good performance they might get some points. If Elena managed to sing ok in English then i see no reason why Tamara could not

This is much better! I kind of liked it in Macedonian but it's a very modern, commercial and good song in English. It could be a pop hit accross Europe, and I think Macedonia have a good shot now, espeically with their good draw...

Huh, I don't know what to say, I still think we could've come up with a better entry... :( Each of the three is a very good singer wit a couple of superb songs so far, but somehow I find nothing special in this song... But what is done is done, I wish they prepare well and have strong vocal and stage performance. Good luck Macedonia!
In the past whenever I thought we had great entry (Elena Risteska, Karolina), it never really succeeded. Maybe this time it will be the other way round. :)

@ benji zagreb
Worst possible solution? That's harsh man lol

Some of my favourite songs though were a mixture Germany 07, France 07 and now 08, FYR Macedonia 06, Ukraine last year and of course Ruslana.

@ Danny T

A mixture of English and the national language....The worst possible solution!!!

i predict they will have heavy accents and the song will sound terrible in english... but it could also benefit the song if they dont have those accents and the lyrics are really catchy and fresh... but i doubt that will happen lol

@ Martin
I actually like songs were their is a mixture of English and the national language; I think that is a good compromise :) although I agree English doesn't work for all songs. For me the best example is this year's Slovenian entry, which is perfectly good in Slovenian but I didn't like it nearly as much at the Greek NF when she sang it in English

@ Peter Eriksson

I must say that I'm already a bit tired of Scandinavian entries, always sung in English (an exception was the Norwegian song "Alvedansen" and I aprreciated it).

Martin 78 [24187]

@Danny
Quite right. An individual song may become better, worse or remain as good/bad when translated into English, I could easily think of examples for all three scenarios. That's the case for any given song.

For the contest, on the other hand, it's always a quality reduction in my opinion. The less languages there are in the Eurovision, the less interested am I in watching it.
