BigPoll 2008 Eurovision prediction poll
The BigPoll will allow you to predict the result of the two semi finals, and as soon as the second one is over on 22nd May, you will be able to predict the result of the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest Final.
The simple 'drag and drop' interface allows you to see the order of your predictions clearly on screen, in much the same way that you see countries move up the Eurovision Song Contest scoreboard during the voting.
Remember, we are asking you to predict the result, not vote for your favourite song (we will be doing that at a later date!). You are free to take into account political, neighbourly and diaspora voting, betting odds and preview shows. You can change and update your votes until the poll closes at 17:00 CET on Tuesday 20th May for the first semi final and 17:00 CET on Thursday 22nd May. A special prize will be awarded to the most accurate predictions.
The esctoday.com BigPoll is the most accurate prediction poll on the internet. It has correctly predicted the Eurovision Song Contest winner three times in the last four years. In last week's first national BigPoll, Swedish readers correctly predicted the winner, and top four songs in order in the Swedish final. Next year, a series of national BigPolls will be launched.

Actually I've choosen the BEST SONGS which deserve to be sang on Saturday... therefore some might miss the FINAL due to televoting injustice...they are not in particular order however I think that the winner will come out from SEMI-FINAL 2.

I think that Israel have a strong chance this year, I'd also love to see Sweden up there. Ukraine is going to do really well, however it does not deserve too, song is bland. Dima's performance will probably see Russia as a contender. Iceland really deserve a top placing too. Turkey for the first time may not make it and Belgium will either do really well or flop completely.

Aren't there a lot of crap songs this year? Spain, Latvia and Estonia to name but a few.
My predictions for qualifiers from semi final 1:
Greece, Israel, Russia, Slovenia, Andorra, Netherlands, Ireland, Norway, Poland and Armenia.
From semi final 2:
Sweden, Iceland, Switzerland, Malta, Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Albania, Hungary and FYROM.
Poor results for Big 5 this year again I think but I do like UK and Germany.
Such prediction is USELESS, last year MALTA'S entry VERTIGO LEAD ALL THE CHART to make it to the FINAL...everyone knows what happened.
Glad that this year VODKA is not acting the same as VERTIGO...hope we achieve an opposite result after the concept of the VIDEO...and actually the STAGE PERFORMANCE will be influenced by it

Songs that IMO seem to benefit from the running order: Belgium in semi 1 (really stands out after a slow start) and Denmark from semi 2 (refreshing and light-hearted after a mixed bunch of songs).
Portugal for sure. 12 points from all nations that still believe in real music.
