All kinds of everything
Ireland: Eurovision winner in aid of suicide victims' families
Dana Rosemary Scallon, known to eurofans as Dana, Irish singer and former politician, winner of the 1970 Eurovision Song Contest with the song All Kinds Of Everything, will use her song in aid of the first ever campaign of Console, national organisation for families of suicide victims, to fund counselling and helpline services. The song's opening line "Snowdrops and daffodils ..." will be used as the jungle of radio adverts for National Snowdrop Day, to be launched by Console on the 25th of March 2008. As part of this appeal, Console will be selling “Snowdrop pins” at a cost of 3 € per pin. The charity was established in 2002 by families that had experienced the grief of losing a loved one through suicide.
All Kinds Of Everything
Lyrics
Snowdrops and daffodils, butterflies and bees
Sailboats and fishermen, things of the sea
Wishing wells, wedding bells, early morning dew
All kinds of everything remind me of you
Seagulls and aeroplanes, things of the sky
Winds that go howling, breezes that sigh
City sights, neon lights, grey skies or blue
All kinds of everything remind me of you
Summertime, wintertime
Spring and autumn too
Monday, Tuesday, every day
I think of you
Dances, romances, things of the night
Sunshine and holidays, postcards to write
Budding trees, autumn leaves, a snowflake or two
All kinds of everything remind me of you
Summertime, wintertime
Spring and autumn too
Seasons will never change
The way that I love you
Dances, romances, things of the night
Sunshine and holidays, postcards to write
Budding trees, autumn leaves, a snowflake or two
All kinds of everything remind me of you
All kinds of everything remind me of you

The Irish song still being such a cute song! You're a great singer Dana Scallon.
I'm sorry this is one of my worst-10 ESC winners...
I can't stand this woman...
Re: can UK,claim Dana, as a winner, that is total nonsence.the woman herself is proud to be Irish, and would argue, with anyone that called her anything but Irish. if the uk can claim her, then Norway, can claim Frida, from ABBA. and Greece, can claim Vicky Leandros.stop all this stupid, statements.any how it's a song contest not a singer contest.
@ Garry Chelsea
No!
Dana sang for Ireland , so she won for Ireland!
comparing these sweet lyrics to the sour everything-that-rhymes mishmash of most entries this year....hmmmm
One of Ireland graet winners!!
This is a great song, a great eurovision clasic...very charming. And she has the perfect preformance here!
Dana is a perfectly delightful IRISH woman
can the u.k claim her as a winner too as she was born in london and raised in northern ireland, i wish the charity lots of luck and hope that much money is raised for such a good cause
I am so aged - 57 - that i can remember this uplifting song being everywhere in 1970.
I am not sure how many of the 'wonderful' songs of the last 5 years will mean anything much to anyone 38 years later ???????????
it's so irish, i love it!!
This entry is still charming somehow.
What a classic. Brings back good memories!
Awww, I love this song!
