Poland: Isis Gee Hidden treasure re-released

Isis Gee, the Polish representative, has just re released her 2007 album Hidden Treasure to include her entry for Belgrade, For life.

The 2 CD Special Edition includes the original Hidden treasure album, originally released in September 2007, and two versions of Isis Gee's Eurovision entry For life, the three minute version as well as an extended orchestra version in co-operation with Adam Sztaba and the Polish National Radio Orchestra.

For life as well as the entire Hidden treasure album was mixed by Grammy Award winning Simon Gogerly who has worked with international stars such as U2, Elton John, Tina Turner, Sarah McLachlan, Gwen Stephani, J-Lo, Missy Elliot et al.

So far For life has entered the top 10 in various air play charts all over Poland and the official video clip has been for weeks the second most watched videoclip on the most popular Polish music website muzyka.interia.pl

I just hope, in Belgrade, Isis will sing it the same way as she does in the studio version, because when she sings it live, it's still lovely, but it sounds a bit like she's drowning..

Isis wrote and composed For life, the song is amazing, powerful, fabalous, especially at the end, she's so talented...I wish her all the best. I don't care, if she wins, but I'm proud that Poland chose Isis...

I love Isis...

She is so classy and hopeful. Not pretentious in the slightest. She is so so proud to represent Poland. She loves Poland and because of her husband now lives in Poland since 2004.

It is true that it is her Polish husband as to why she is living there, but that is beautiful. Her husbands love brought her to Poland and now she has fallen in love with the country.

Poland has given her such a huge honour to represent them, and she will not let you down...

GOOD LUCK

@ Jan
I share your enthusiasm for Poland to sing in Polish. I found it very sad that only one song in the NF was in Polish (Margo) and that the jury only gave that one point. However this is more down to the organisers at TVP and the ESC rather than the artists themselves...

If a Polish born artist would of won they would of sang in English, not understanding most of the lyrics. Where as Isis a native English speaker, wrote the words and composed the song herself. For me the lyrics are so beautiful. So which is worse...

I would prefer Polish of course, but in no way is the the fault of Isis Gee. Maximum scorer from both jury and public

@ Serkan

A friend of mine used to live in Poland, apparently she married a polish guy, and her Polish accent isn't the best. I'd rather her sing in which ever language she sings better in, and that seems to be English.

Isis Gee has only one greatgrandmother from Poland. I am 50% Polish and I would never consider to sing for Poland in English or Dutch. The language of Poland is Polish.

@ Serkan,

So do I. I perfer it when people sing in their native languages. And Swedish is one of my favorite languages in the world. ;) I also like Poland and the Polish people. My best friend is Polish-American, and I have learned a lot from her over the years. :)

@ Serkan,

She's Polish-American. Her parents are from Poland. Fate would have it that she grew up here. We are all not so bad. Americans don't bite, honest. Good luck to Isis and to Poland! I think you guys might have a chance this year! Shame Poland didn’t make it in 2005…

Nothing wrong with Americans representing other countries at all.
