Albania: Olta Boka to sing in albanian in Belgrade
The authors of the song and Olta preferred to sing it Albanian. "It's very difficult to translate Albanian songs into english and especially the song Zemrën e lamë peng." said Zamira Koleci director of Radio Tirana. She was present at the meeting of the heads of delegation.
The song was reorchestrated in a big studio in Italy. The new version is shorter, something fresh and more alternative. The reorchestration of the songs cost 6,000 euros. The song has also a video clip made by Pluton Vasi, of Max Production's which cost 8,000 euros.
Olta will perform 6th for Albania in the running order of the Eurovision Song Contest second semi final in Belgrade on May 22nd.

Oh and by the way if there is one best way to define history, the best of them is the Anglo-Saxon one: "History, a perfect way to manipulate the past", so pls avoid explaining me what history is, bcs I would really respect it as a branch of study only if some alien dude wrote it for us...... but as I already said, I won't bother any longer cus then you will have to pay me... or better yet ask my fellow Albanians whom you call friends to pay me, so they can have a chance to know what Balkans is, or what Balkan nations are...

I really doubt your friends know more than I do concerning what you have been talking about.
First of all, just to make this clear - since you already said your profession, then let me tell you mine: I hold a degree in Political Science, a part of which I did by studying in Athens, and a Master in International Law in a western European country, and just to make it clear to you even more I am right now finishing a dissertation on Kosovo. Second I live and work in Tirana, and I am currently working in the media as a part time job and I hold a position in one of the administration branches in the government of Albania. If you really intend to make all this serious we can then discuss about this in extreme length, but I'm really sorry to say this: Someone must pay me to do to you and to the readers of this site such a favor.
With that said, I do not know your Albanian friends nor their background, but there are really a few of them who hold a degree from your universities who can say two clear things about Albania. Is it the Greek educational system? Is it the cultural exchange process of your country? I do not really know, though I know for sure that the cultural assimilation of Albanians in Greece is so profound, its hard to compare it to any other country in Europe. Not that I want to blame the Greek element in all this. One thing is for sure: the Portuguese have emigrated all over the world during their hard years, but they never did so in Spain.
I do not want to repeat myself with what I have already said because there is no time or need to bother. You might have Albanian friends, you might like Albania, you might respect them, the big problem is that the world functions in such a way that what is cheaply sold, is much better understood by a huge mass of people, which then makes for a public opinion, which in the end creates huge superficial stereotypes. I am satisfied with what I have already told you bcs throwing down the system through which you explained your whole conspiracy theory, got some serious answer in the end, so that everybody can be too clear that you can very well get a response from an Albanian person who can say things to you as he believes them to be, without making any movie out of this.

OK I agree that I haven't gave any arguments for what I'm saying but I did that just because I wanted to avoid it. Anyway, you are not giving evidence either for the same reason too.
Criss Crossing information is a difficut and time consuming thing if you really seek for nothing but the truth. I can assure you by not wasting any more time that what my Albanian friends have told me is UTTERLY True and this is unfortunate of course because those people really suffered.
You are quite a phychograph but your... "antennas" must have malfunctioned because I don't have anything negative against the Albanians.
As for the perfectly balanced and surface-argumentatively supported "essay" ofabout what's history and what's not, whos side is true and whos not shows a person who knows what he is saying because he has learned to say what he says. Sorry but you should have taken the task of rendering the song.

Nemoj sada da se trudis da budes umeren i stalozen!!!! I ja sam mislio da si ti malo pametniji jer ja kad sa rekao da me bas briga za "Evropu" nisam misli bukvalno nego sam mislio na EU tacnije i zapadni blok koji pokusava da nam diktira tempo!!!! A sto se tice huliganstva nemam veze sa tim....najozbiljnije samo sto te situacija natera da se ponasas malo radikalnije "pravi srbine" sto bi ti shvatio da zivis u Bg-u!!! Boli tebe uvo ti si u nezavisnoj CG koja se razvija ko zmaj i svi zive bajno tj. vecina ....i nemoj se truditi da mi predstavis drugacije jer sam jako cesto u CG i znam kako je!!!! Pod "vi" sam mislio na huligane koji ce da vicu na ovu curu iz Albanije... ne znam da li moram svaku recenicu bukvlno da napisem da bi svatio, mislio sam da sa 18 god mozes nesto da svatis, nisam puno stariji od tebe...ali izgleda da sam se prevario...
Ja sam iz Herceg Novog ako si vidio moj profil i zato govorim ijekavski, a nisam nista manje Srbin od tebe koji govoris ekavski i zivis u BG-u..zapravo mogu biti i sigurniji da sam veci, ja sam Srbin gdje je teze biti Srbin, a lako je tebi da budes Srbin u Beogradu i da sudis o drugima o kojima nemas pojma...
Uzivacu u show-u, u pjesmama naravno, navijam za najbolju pjesmu a ne za zemlju jer sam fan Eurosonga i jos prije nego smo mi ucestvovali, i nije me to sprecavalo da uzivam u tome, i na kraju nadam se da ce biti vise ljudi kao sto sam ja u areni, kojima je stalo da ovo uspije i da se prikaze da je Srbija spremna za ovakvu manifestaciju... Kao sto si ti rekao briga nas za Evropu.... a nije mi samo jasno sta onda Srbija po tvom misljenju trazi na Evropskom dogdjaju kao sto je Eurosong...
Nadam se da ce sve biti dobro u Areni i da ce kad jednom Srbija opet pobjedi ljudi doc bez problema....

Fanovi eurosonga su oni koji se okupljaju zbog muzike, kojima je stalo kakva je pjesma ne odakle je , i koji ce uvijek priznati da li je njihova zemlja poslala dobru ili losu pjesmu.... a ne nacionalisti koji misle da se njihove pjesme njbolje svake godine (kao sto puno Svedjana to tvrdi svake godine) i koji ce svaku pjesmu iz Albanije mrziti jer je iz te zemlje...

Kad tebe neko sa strane posmatra ko nije sa Balkana zakljucuje da su Srbi jedna nacija koja mrzi sve i svakoga i u stanju je da napadne covjeka koji mu nista nikad nije napravio u zivotu, ko sto ces ti da urlas protiv ove 17- godisnje djevojke koja ti nikad nista nije uradila... Sad zamisli da Jelena ide da pjeva za Srbiju u Englesku i svi pocnu da se deru na nju i vicu joj kao sto ces ti ovoj Albanki i kazi mi da je to normalno.... I sad zbog ljudi kao sto si ti Srbiji bi onda trebali da oduzmu sve internacionlne manifestcije, jer ociglendo ima rasista u ovoj zemlji koji ne dozvoljavaju da se odrzavaju....
Zamiusli sad svi u Areni pocnu da vicu na sve koji su priznali Kosovo... mislis da bi nam ikad vise dali da odrzimo Eurosong... Diamantis, I will reply to you also in good humor and sympathy as I did the first time. First of all I replied to you not because I wanted to discuss the issue with you (so that we Balkan people can open our hearts) but because I noticed a lot of incoherence in your comments from the first one to the last that you have sent. And that's why I said that your judgments are out of your control because you are not being honest in what you are writing, and by honesty here I mean sticking to your view about Albania and Albanians and hence come to your own conclusions, without changing them from one comment to the other. They might be wrong or right we can talk about that later, but I cannot believe that you truly respect a community of people when you use the Greek words that you used in your first comments, a semi-elegant rudeness which of course was not hard to be understood.
With that said, I simply want to remind you the very basic facts from where you seem to escape. Albania is a democracy with its freely elected representatives in all branches of administration. However as in most countries, from very rich and prosperous to very poor there are specific groups of people who will not obey the law, the rules and the decent way of living by sticking to their own codes and plans.
Albania, for some 17 years of a very chaotic transition from one system to another has gone through a lot of changes. Basically poor compared to European standards however with a steady annual economic growth as well as continuous progress in its path towards political as well as social reforms, not to forget a constant improvement in infrastructure, electronic and written media, and communications and so on. I really do not want to give you a resume here because REALLY I keep on saying this but really this is not the right place for such discussions. Anyways, is there a m a f i a controlling this country? Is there one controlling Greece? Is there one controlling Italy? Of course there are, because in every country with a government and a constitution there is also a m a f i a be it very well organized and sophisticated like in some countries be it chaotic and disorganized in some others. With that said, I could very well say that a lot of other countries are doing the same because their not so good guys controlling their governments want so.
What I am trying to explain to you is that you are completely based on stereotype and assumptions in whatever you have been writing bcs so far you have brought no argument or information or data to prove anybody wrong. I too could write entire pages of how Serbia and Serbs have done this and that to X people how Greece has done this and that to Y people, bcs they are controlled by this and that group, who has affected these and those countries’ institutions and how simple Serbs or Greeks or whatever other community are, for not realizing this and so on. All this to make u understand that assuming that the Albanian ppl are oblivious of how their British or "ultimate power" "heroes" are using them, is not true bcs you cannot explain where the Albanian government is standing in relation to its relations with the West with its neighboring countries or with its own people because you do not know Albania as a country starting with its history and its current developments, but are solely based on what your Albanian friends have told you who could very well not be correct.
To conclude with Kosovo.
Kosovo dear Diamandis would have been in the same situation even if Albania had never existed because it was not Albania which told Yugoslavians to elect Milosevic for a president, it was not Albania to tell the dude to go and enter into conflict with Croatia, Bosnia and Kosovo and it was not Albania telling Serbs how to deal with their minorities. THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY WAS!!! Get it?
So, to conclude it, Albania might very well be booed in this splendid European Festival bcs its representative is singing in Albanian. But REMIND YOU Olta Boka is not going to sing for Serbs only but for people living all over Europe. Is there some conspiracy out of all this? Well you already proved yourself to be a fan of them but pls do not expect ppl to agree with your assumptions, take them seriously or even bother to bring arguments so that they can prove you wrong, BECAUSE what you are writing has no logical standing, and because they do not tell anything convincing to nobody.
I agree with you Night Elf! If there will actually (which I really doubt) be serbian huligans in the arena to boo Olta, she will get the solidarity vote from so many people who are fed up with racism/nationalism.

that sounds very nice that olta is going to sing in albanian. coz the song is my fav this year and i think that it sounds much better in albanian rather in english, though i dont like albanian))) anyways, i hope that Olta's song gonna win. or at leaest reach the top 5. best wishes from Tallinn to Tirana

If you boo at Olta Boka just because she is Albanian and happens to sing her song in her native language and happens to be performing in Belgrade, I seriously hope you get kicked out of the Arena and get a lifelong ban on attending the ESC.
Go back into your little box of misplaced Serb nationalism and by all means, moan about how unfair the rest of the world treats serbia and how the Albanians are secretly planning to take over the world, and do go on and believe this has anything at all to do with music and the Eurovision Song Contest....
