Soon on stage in Paris

France:Jonatan Cerrada prepares third album

From April 1 to 5, Jonatan Cerrada will be on stage at the "Sentier des Halles", in the very heart of Paris, a small but well-known venue. The Belgian singer, who represented France in the Eurovision Song Contest in Istanbul, will be giving a show entitled "Tercero".

Now aged 22, Jonatan Cerrada talks about this concert as well as on his 3rd  album in a 2-page interview, published a few days ago in monthly Platine Magazine. "This show will include more up-tempo songs than usual" he declares, "songs I want to test on stage, non-released material to be included in my new album". Jonatan also reveals that he's working with a new team, including a French R'n'B composer and with a Spanish musician who already wrote for Ana Torroja (former leadsinger of Mecano) and Miguel Bosé. When asked on Eurovision and on bad results France faced the years after him, Cerrada answered : "That's right. I was not that bad ! But I must admit I haven't watched Eurovision since 2004". Tickets for the show can be ordered on through fnac.com.

Jonatan Cerrada's song was my favorite of ESC 2004, very unjustly the result. It was a song that must have stayed in the TOP 5, but to win .
The results of the BIG repeat 4 in the last positions year after year.... Great idea that of this year of Spain to ridicule the festival with Rodolfo Chikilicuatre song's

France was great in 2005 and 2007. This year it's even better, maybe time to return in top 10? Time will tell!

I love Jonatan Cerrada. He deserved to do so much better in 2004. I never realised he was so young.

~~~Moopy are rerunning the Melodifestival as we speak. It's very close in heat three - click here~~~
Last time I liked French entry it was in 2004... very very good song, I hope France will send something similar next year, and of cores on French...it's such beautiful language !!!
I didn't like Cerrada's 2004 song, I found it uninteresting and empty - won't even begin about what was happening on stage. The good French streak started a year later, for me at least. It's still going on. :)
I liked his performance in 2004..I remember before he sung the the main chorus.. he went so off-key which was very noticable.
@ T K .. & Marcel
France 2005 was amazing
Jontan's song and his performance were great, he deserved a top five placing.
The only really bad thing was the dreadful presentation going on in the background (the woman on the stilts). It only took the attention aways from Jonatan which wasn't necessary at all!
Without this circus, it would have come off far better but that wasn't Jonatan's fault, he deserved more, especially in a year like 2004, where the quality wasn't good!
He was one of my favorites in Instanbul. And that was last time France sent a good song. I'd like to see him again on ESC. Good luck Jonatan.
Actually i loooved the french entries of 2001, 2002 and 2003, plus ofcourse 2005 (Ortal). The first do did rather well (they should have done even better in my opinion - 4th and 5th place), the other two not so well but i still like them.
Aljaz is right - Jonatan sang a quite nice song quite well -
I think its unlikely that at his forthcoming gig he'll arrange for a woman on stilts to stalk him while he sings !!!!
That could have just about wrecked any song - I hope the person responsible for having the stilted stalker has been sent to the guillotine by now.
No doubt it was a perfect song, but not one of the best French songs!
What can we say then for Fridda Boccara????
Actually I think the French song in 2004 was one of the best French song in ESC's history, but the stage act was a bit low. :(
(BTW the best French song in ESC's history was Chacun pense á soi from 2005. I loved it. My all time favourite ESC song ever.)
The only bad thing with France-2004 was the performance. The song it self was amazing! And they really deserve better then just 14 place!
