Russia: Dima Bilan to rock Dubai
With accolades including ‘Artist of the Year’, International Music Awards 2006 and MTV RMA Winner ‘Best Song’ and ‘Best Artist’ 2006, Bilan, will perform his first live solo concert in the region on Thursday at Madinat Jumeirah Arena.
'Dima Bilan will wow Dubai’s music fans with his energetic set including performances of his international hit songs; ‘Never Let You Go’, and ‘Number One Fan’, as well as his latest hit song ‘Believe’, produced in collaboration with Grammy winning American record producer, composer, rapper and singer, Timbaland,' said the organisers.
Commenting on his upcoming concert in Dubai, Dima Bilan said “I am really looking forward to the concert; I’ve been to Dubai before and noticed there is such an amazing feel to the city, it made perfect sense to me to perform to a multicultural crowd that has a multicultural taste in music.'
'I like to radiate real energy in all my performances, an element that I know will ensure the Dubai crowd gets totally absorbed in the concert.”
As the selected artist to represent Russia in the MTV Europe Music Awards in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2006, Dima is no novice when it comes to representing his country having been the runner up in Eurovision 2006 and will look to go one better in Eurovision 2008 with his hit song ‘Believe’.
The concert starts at 17:30 CET (20:30 local time) and the tickets are priced at Dh 500 ($136), Dh750 for standing and gold class and Dh 1,500 and Dh 3,000 for VIP and Diamond stalls.
Russia will participate in slot 18 in the first Eurovision Song Contest semi final on May 20th.

I was never a fan of Dima, even back in 2006. Though, I have the feeling it could be his year.
I am just happy to see that artists in Russia consider the contest valuable enough to appear on its stage more than once.
The Russian entry boring, its melodramatic, the only reason its interesting is because they bought themselves the only producer on the planet who could turn Dima and his song into something remotely musical.
There is only one thing special about the song, and thats the way he pronounces the English lyrics! which is very, very awful.
Ok those are pretty stiff prices considering justin timberlake was just here and the tickets were 195 dhs

And once,once,once,once again about the political votes- I am Armenian,and believe me Dima is VERYY popular here. I am almost sure that Armenia will give 12 points to Dima but not because of politics and FEAR of Russia,but because of his popularity in Armenia and TALENT !!!
NIHGT OF MUSICAL COMEDY- Qele-s lyrics is not cheap!!!!!!!! and the song is not cheap either...
We don't know who is gonna win esc, we didn't know that last year Molitva non english lyrics/song was gonna win after many years of english winning songs, Serbia win with their own language. So, I guess we can predict but cannot decide really who is gonna win, its not 100% sure. However, my prediction shows that the winner will come out of the following countries:
Ukraine, Russia, Serbia (Possible to win 2 years in a row), or perhaps Turkey and Sweden, you never know, it might end up with Armenia (Even though I hate the irritating Armenian qele qele qele - cheap lyrics)

His song is really nothing special but it's Russia,thus once again a good result not deserved..

one thing is for sure - Russia has most neighbours in Europe, because of thier size, and still have a lot of former nations from USSR in the contest, so they will do well! BUT - I think that Russia normally send great and wellperformed entries to the ESC, so this year will also be a succes.

Well i would like to see Moscow next year, it will be the best ESC ever i am sure! and it will be one of the best ones in the future.
And then it will be nice as we wouldnt have to get a visa to go and watch it live

I'm sure the performance is going to be amazing and will leave huge impact on the viewers. However I can't say the same for this year's Russian entry. It's not good enough!
He is surely the winner of ESC2008!!!!!
This song is so boring. His performance wasn´t impressive either! Dima Bilan is overated as a singer.
To win you have to get votes from all over Europe. And I doubt if that will happen with this song. His 2006 was much better. I think there are other songs that get more attention from all countries, for example Armenia, Ukraine or Ireland.
He won't win for sure. Be objective.
