Ukraine: Verka's new song and video Do Re Mi
The video was shot in Baku in Azerbaijan by the video director Semyon Gorov who shot videos for Belarussian 2008 entrant Ruslan Alekhno with the song Hasta La Vista and Azerbaijan 2008 representative Elnur and Samir with the song Day After Day.
In Ukrainian musical slang "doremi" means "get off".

I agree with Peter Eriksson and I think that the joke-entries this year will fail... I really HOPE they will...
In Germany, we had nearly the same situation in 2001. After Guildo Horn in 1998 and Stefan Raab in 2000, Germany has brought to comedy-entries who were quite successful (7th and 5th place - the 3rd place of Sürpriz in 1999 doesn't count because the German majority didn't care about Sürpriz)...
In the 2001 preselection now, there were three - or better four: one was disqualified - "joke-entries" in the competition. Each of them failed and Michelle won... because people were tired of comedy-songs, it was nothing new anymore...
I think and I hope that Spain, Ireland, Estonia and Latvia will split up the votes and that they won't get so many votes like Verka at all, because they won't be outstanding anymore...

I don't care about if people like gimmicks or not, as long as I don't see those acts in the ESC, they doesn't belong in a SONG contest! No one of those gimmicks likes or cares about the ESC anyway, they just use the contest to get attention. And I thinks that's wrong, becous there are delegations/performers/composers that actually takes this competition seriously, people who gives such an professional effort to end up in the top of the result!
That's why I think it's horrible that people and especially fans, that I think should care about the reputation, quality and fair play of the ESC. Actually supports entries that disrespecting the delegations/entries that takes this competition seriously and wants to win it in a professional and worthy way!
I like the Latvian entry very much this year, but I'll never gonna vote for it, becous I think it's too unserious.
Dear Peter Erikson, accept that eurofans all around Europe love Verka, and Danzing was the real winner last year. Accept that for example Baila el chikichiki is a hit in your country, Sweden, and also in Croatia for example. I love this year's spanish entry, but of course I want Croatia to win. My top-5: 1.Croatia, 2.Spain, 3.Estonia, 4.Bosnia-Herzegovina, 5.Ireland

I'm not from Britain. So my english is not perfect, I'm always spelling wrong! And I also don't always spellchecking my texts, if someone doesn't understand, then they must ask me what I ment!
Personally, I don't use to comment others who are spelling wrong in Swedish, especially not in an interantional web-forum!

it will probably score, but it's done before and too easy.
this song makes me tired in my head of simplicity.
What made Verka different from the other gimmick entries this year is that his songs are at least catchy and don't deliberately TRY to be ugly, like Ireland. I liked some of his songs before he was in Eurovision.
He's still a freak though and I wouldn't exactly miss the gimmick entries if they were banned.
Is it just me or has Verka been piling up on the pounds since Helsinski? She is twice the size now and looks almost elephantine, even if we overlook her tits. 
The song is straight out of "Eurotrash" (as were all her releases after Danzing) - but I do like her and the whole concept behind her.
OMG, I thought it was just ignorant naive socialistic swedes who can't see the differens between democracy and freedom! Now, unfortunately I see that people all arond Europe share this incorrect point of view!
If you don't know the difference between domocrcy and freedom, then you should not talk about it! Wich is quiet funny, becous not even those tree hugging idiots in the swedish parliament can see the difference either! LONG LIVE THE FREE ABSOLUTE MONARCHY, LONG LIVE THE CROWNS!
However. If a fan Votes for Verka or other gimmicks, then that fan can't be a real fan of the ESC! As long as one don't vote for an gimmick it's OK to like!
I realy dont get Verka or this song - but tastes are different... But I have to admit, that I had to pick up my jaw from the floor last year, when all the points came in to this entry!

You have to accept other countries songs in the Eurovision, it's a part of the show - this year you have Ireland & Spain with very different songs, in that case, I think Ireland will succed and Spain will fall... I normally loves the Swedish entries, but also have to admit, that The Ark and Verka was standing side by side in my oppinion, and it was for sure not in the top!

I'll never judge your tastes in music even if they are different from mine. I always will respect them..
i don't see anything in him/her or in his/her lyrics but i must admit that the tune is very catchy....his/her songs are great for discotheques in summer!!!!! i don't know why he/she has not made it yet to MTV!!!!this song would be a hit this summer!

It's really annoying how people on this site complain about all songs... all (esc) songs regardless if they are gimmick or serious.. its "rubbish" to one half and "great" for the others on here!!! Well I don't want to sound mean but the only esc star who has got a big following amongst ESC fans is Paparizou and that shows something about esc fans tastes!!!!

And it's horrible to see that peaople on this website who call themselves ESC-fans, actually like Verka and "her" entry last year! A gimmick-entry that did almost crush the last tiny part of seriousness in this competition!

I just don't get the reaction and fascination with Verka! Has Europe no drag act scene? This is the worst famous drag act have ever seen. There is so much better out there and funnier.
