Let me try, let me try!

3. Israel (180)
4. Poland (179)
5. Ukraine (178)
LMAO - "Switzerland nudged fellow nordic country Iceland"??
oh well neighbour voting still exists through OGAE fan club votes.
But norway won't have the privilege of awarding douze points to neighbours Sweden, because they are in different semifinals and Sweden won't make it to the final, even if their song is one of the best this year.
certainly 12 points will go to sweden
10 points will go to turkey
ogae voting
always wrong
there will be a jury and they will select the 10th qualifier.
Hey guys - enjoy Eurovison! Do not get upset if people have different taste than yourself.......it is so ridiculous:-)
Good luck to Norway! Your song is great!
Good for you. Where do you come from, Elvis?
@Keith Timmons: I did not say nor suggest that you like/support the puppet. Therefore, I stick to my words.
Elvis, I don't find it particularly funny either. And if you read my profile you can see my evaluation of the song. But it's funnier than the Estonian one (which is not saying much, really). And cheeky - yes sir, it is! Like it or not, Terry.
I believe that most people who watch this show do not like the music. Eurovision is world famous for its awful songs; I encounter this attitude every time I dare speak of the show. I'm sure most of us have this experience with "normal" people - which is why we come here to talk about our mutual interest.
I also believe that 19 songs is too much. At the end of the show people will remember the 4-5 latest songs in addition to whichever acts managed to stand out in any way (good or bad). The remaining songs fade into oblivion.
There is no doubt in my mind that Dustin will be remembered simply because he is a hand puppet. This is something brand new in Eurovision, just like Dana International and Lordi were when they had their 15 minutes of glory. I predict a similar effect for Dustin. But if you think that means I actually like his song, you're dead wrong.
The only things I like in this song is the video.
Good luck anyway.
I meant in UK!
The only things I like in this song is the video.
Good luck anyway.
Peter
It's been a long time since the UK did anything other than a 'doesn't'. In fact, Imaani was the last time it was damned when it did. And then only just. Since then it has been a sea of don't play those songs again.
@Keith Timmons: "At least Dustin has the cheek of Graham Norton and he's so over-the-top that everyone will remember that song. And being noticed is one of the most important ways of collecting votes."
You sound like those guys from allkindsofeverything.ie. I find it utterly silly to believe that "publicity" will save Ireland´s fate. Where does Ireland get public attention? In ESCtoday, for sure. Anywhere else? If it´s PR machine is in full motion, why doesn´t it show goodresults in the OGAE´s voting numbers? It´s also comic to read about about how funny the puppet is because I don´t find it funny at all.
Time will tell who´s got it right.
All of this year's favourites, I mean.
Estonia's problem is that their song just isn't very funny. At least Dustin has the cheek of Graham Norton and he's so over-the-top that everyone will remember that song. And being noticed is one of the most important ways of collecting votes.
Elvis, because Macedonia is the most prominent free rider of recent years. But we've got other countries like Turkey, Greece, Armenia, Serbia, Russia and Ukraine. All of this years, in fact. Go figure!
But not Finland. Only Sweden and Estonia vote for Finland unless they're dressing up as clowns or scary monsters.
The bad thing for Ireland is that Estonia also comes with a comedy song, and I think that the ones who want to find a joke will prefer Estonia to Ireland, since it is more ridiculous and features the female dancers as well. Anyway, I give more chances to Ireland than Estonia, but I wouldn't be surprised if Estonia makes it.
for me greek entry is the best
reminds me Sylvia Night (wish she will return one day)
but without the funny make up
i bet on a greek victory
@ Khalid GR
I can take your point that Ireland could have the 'Vampires Are Alive' fate but I think at the same time 10 of the 19 countries will qualify, as well as the fact that Ireland is going for the comedy vote that plays a big part, gives it a good enough chance of qualifying picking up votes as it goes rather than the 12s that Russia, Armenia and Greece will probably get.
I actually think Sweden are more likely to meet the fate, not because it is schlager but because it is very generic schlager.
@Keith Timmons: Why Macedonia? Why not Finland?
Rita, that's a great idea! United Kingdom performs in Armenian while Armenia sings in English.
It would certainly highten the comedy factor, but trust me it won't help the UK at all. The only way for a British artist to do well in the Eurovision Song Contest is to represent Macedonia.
Has anybody seen those famous "Ireland douze points"???
Jelena in Spanish: bad pronunciation. Was it worthy listening to? NOOOO.
@thomas ferguson
If UK wants to grab some votes may be next year your candidate will perform a Russian song, or Armenian, or Serbo-Croatian ... It will mark a change in the ESC history. Globalization? Not one way then
I don't know why, but I feel that Ireland will have the same fate with the vampires from Switzerland last year. The Verka/Alf/Lt United of the year will be Spain most probably.
The UK is damned if it does and damned if it does'nt!
If a country from the East is to win again, then I would like Croatia or Bosnia to win as they have been in the contest for a while.
How come Scooch last year was destroyed by everyone but Ireland is being praised for being fun. I don't getit!!!!!!
The spanish version of "oro" didn't impress me. She speaks spanish like a non-spanish speaker who tries to speak spanish, her accent is just so-so. The serbian version is waaaay better.
OK,guys, explain me:what's this fuss about?
Sweden to win...ha!ESC of Western Europe...ha-ha.
If Eastern Europe has not been participating for the last ... hm...15 years, this show would have been...disgusting!
OK,change your point of view:I am from Bulgaria.I've always known of this contest, but I wasn't able to name more than 3 or 4 songs from this contest till 2005.And these were
iva (by Dana International), Every Way That I Can (by Sertab) and Wild Dances (by Ruslana). Because THIS were the real hits.OK,and Waterloo. When talking of ESC you always associate it with ABBA - which is awful because it's not the opposite.
Do you remember - esctoday made a survey after last year's failure for any of the WESTERN SONGS tu success - it turned out that even without the votes of E.U. the results are almost the same.
And I confess:The Ark and Sabrina were nice. And maybe D'Nash.Or Guri Shanke. And Scooch.OK,there were NO THAT BAD SONGS, but this is a contest. And Moldova and Georgia were not prepared,do they?Or what?Or Serbia?Or even Turkey! No one deserves the last place, but you are now ridiculous! Not that I am saying Bulgarian songs from this year's heats or whatever it was were GOOD ENOUGH or BETTER than yours, but Bulgarians would never ever talk in this way about the others.Shame on you for all this nonsense.
It's a music contest! We must be friends!Do not ruin the fun!
T K
She is so quiet in the song... I don't know Spanish very well, you must ask someone who does... But i sounds good to me, well Jelena is professionals...
i think esctoday will put this version here soon, or they will wait for all to be done...
