It's about time Malta won the ESC after all the years of trying so hard.
Come on UK, they took pity on us last year - give then some votes!

If this year Malta will not qualify to the final - our 12 points will go to Spain! lol

;)and also last year 12 points were given to you so that you would not be humiliated finishing last place - we Maltese have a generous and golden heart!!! :)

@ Will T
Andy's record label wanted to take him abroad for some promotion, but we haven't heard a thing from him. I really hope he'll be at the party, would be kind of odd without the British song at a British party.

Does amuse me though how much people get his name wrong. It's Abraham, not Abrahams. :P

@fabio: she is not sexy, only the music is nice....
she is one of the sexiest singers of Malta in the esc, alongside ira losco... some people say the opposite of what you had said :D

I don't know why people diss 'Vodka' so much. It's a lot better than that 'Vertigo' nonsense last year: It's unpretentious, in your face, OTT and a lot of fun. Morena's got a great set of lungs on her, and the Maltese enthusiasm for Eurovision that we've learned to know and love over the years.

I think she is actually going to do a lot better than many people seem to be predicting and I for one will be very honoured to cheer Morena on at the Scala.

I do hope someone has thought to invite Andy Abrahams along to his own country's Eurovision preview party, though...

To all those who ALWAYS talk against Malta's Entry!

Please just shut up. You're really getting on my nerves and that's because always the same 4 people talk against our VODKA. Ok we just get the point from the very beggining, you don't like VODKA, so if we already got your point, why do you have to criticise the song destructively!!! I don't say anything in articles of songs I don't like!

Personally, I think, the song's just Gr8 and this is one of the BEST ENTRIES EVER Malta has sent! with a great show, MORENA is going to get Malta to the Finals, for sure!

(IMO) the top 10 of the 2nd SemiFinal are(In no particular order):

Malta,Ukraine,Sweden,Iceland,A lbania,Switzerland,Belarus,Geo rgia,Turkey and either FYR Macedonia or Latvia!

In the 1st SemiFinal:

Armenia,Greece,Netherlands,Pol and,Romania,Norway,Russia,Slov enia,Belgium or Ireland and Andorra!

But Anyway Good Luck to EVERY country! I'm sure everyone is going to give his/her best on that Eurovision Stage! BDW GL MORENA in LONDON!!!!! :)

I wonder if Andy Abraham is doing any promotion for his song, or if he's just sitting at home waiting until may... anyone got any info?

I like Malta's song this year, but i fear it won't do so well...

Poor London!!

UK should award 12p this year Malta but i very doubt with this song!! Maybe soviet countries will give something to Malta!

@ Arabic Scents

reading your recent posts, they are all against Malta - it looks like you are a member of an anti-Malta esc convention or something!!
Regards being an island - In 1992, 1998, 2002 and in 2005 we were still an archipelago(group of islands). And imagine how lovely it would be in 2009 for the ESC to be hosted on a Mediterranean island....in Malta

At this rate we should have ESC back to the UK!

P.s. Thank you Malta for the 12 points last year!!

Welcome to UK!

HI Molly yes I admit I voted Scooch. I did it for two reasons: 1. classic europop 2. protest vote .... and also why not?

So Yees Malta did give the Brits 12 POints! :P And if we think that only Brits voted well of course not! There are a number of Brits living in the island but not as much!!

Last year Malta's 12 points in the final were nothing but a protest vote!!! If the Maltese went to Goze then they must have been drinking VODKA :P and getting warmed up to 2008 wth MORENA!! :P

This year Malta is back with a strong entry which will either do very well or end nowhere!!!

Hope for the first!! I'm sure the talented Gozitan will give her utmost and make Malta proud!!!

I think Malta will do well cause the song is fantastic, and the singer is equally good. The destructive critisism always by the same people, shows that they probably see Malta as a threat to any other song they support. Grow up!

I'll be going to the show now that Morena will be there! Good luck.

This is all leading nowhere! The song is bound to bomb in the 2nd semi! Malta has no neighbours like Iceland does...Well at least she can enjoy traveling to all those different countries in her promo tour...Anyway i wish them good luck and I hope they surprise me with the result... ;)

Molly Parton [29330]
Sun 6 Apr 2008 19:17:00

Er - no, the Maltese didn't give Scoooch 12 points. The Maltese had gone to Gozo for the weekend after they failed to qualify. The Brits on the island left watching the show must be held responsible. Has anyone found a Maltese willing to admit they voted for Scooch? No.

OMG, I made a huge mistake about Christine Guldbrandsen (Norway 2006). I`m so sorry! I thought she was that lady who sung Ven a bailar comigo...

@Ben Gravy: "Does anybody think I should invite Christine Guldbrandsen (Norway 2006) to the party?"
Only if she promisses not to sing that crap song (also know as Mi chico latino).
