OGAE Lebanon: 12 points to Armenia

OGAE Lebanon, a fan club set up when Lebanon applied to enter the Eurovision Song Contest, has held a vote on the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest. The young club awarded it's 12 points to Armenia. The vote brings to an end a series of consecutive 12 points for Sweden, who finished fifth amongst Lebanese fans.

The full votes from OGAE Lebanon:

  • 12 points Armenia
  • 10 points Ukraine
  • 8 points Bulgaria
  • 7 points Romania
  • 6 points Sweden
  • 5 points Germany
  • 4 points Greece
  • 3 points Turkey
  • 2 points Iceland
  • 1 point Cyprus
  • You can see the breakdown of votes on the OGAE scorecard here
  • For more information or to join your local club, please email ogae@esctoday.com

The result catapults Armenia above Switzerland into second place, reducing Sweden's lead to 34 points. Switzerland have failed to score for the last two juries after scoring consistently early on. Another strong vote for Ukraine moves them up to join the Swiss in third place with 49 points. Romania and Bulgaria also continue to rise up the board. Germany's five points is the largest score for a Big Four country so far, they rise to 15th place. Cyprus become the 29th country to score points.

TO THE MODERATOR
Some people here (me) are apparently using this comment section for annoying others (mostly to annoy myself) by posting the same comment over and over again which is against the basic rules of human decency (i am simply too stupid to think of any other comment). i hope that specific comment will soon be deleted (as my keyboard is stuck on {CNTL-V}) and i will keep posting this reminder till then.

(wow, this is gonna keep me busy for a few hours)

Are you here to support Azerbaijan or to show us your impressive level of erudition? We don't give a toss about what your opinion on the Armenian Genocide. Read the subject of this news article Lebanese OGAE gave 12 points to Armenia. You take it or send an objection to the Lebanese embassy in Azerbaijan ;)

"these non-armenian authors are sponsored by armenian disaspora. we all know the power of lobbying, promoting, advancing and etc."

Exactly and that`s what Turky is doing to cover it`s past, so dont come here and deny Turkis horrible past, that`s like denying holocost, I just have one word 2 say discusting.

And secondly this is not a political forum, so either talk music or shut up

And Bart: Please keep on type what u were typing apperently it`s need since there r so many uneducated and brainwashed ppl here

@Sergio Poul

these non-armenian authors are sponsored by armenian disaspora. we all know the power of lobbying, promoting, advancing and etc.

only 17 countries out of about 200 recognized what you meant. out of them almost all are those where armenian diaspora is stong.

FYI: there is also an increasing number of nonturkish authors referring to azerbaijani genocide now, which happened in 1905, 1918 and especially on 26.02.1992. but, we dont shout about it on all corners.

yes i know they are annoying and i actually post them becuz i know they are annoying, but i just want to know are there any moderators here?as i wrote in my annoying comment there is one comment here in this comment section posted by someone called FARIZ, which is apparantly denying a very important part of my history.i know this is not the right place to discuss historical issues but i think there should be moderators here who should delete those kind of comments.
sorry for any inconvenience :)
