Song entirely in Albanian
Albania: All set for Belgrade
According to Albanian Head of Delegation Mrs Koleci, Olta Boka will appear on stage in Belgrade dressed in green and white, accompanied by guitarists and a drummer dressed in a classic style. A light guitar theme has been added to the song after it won Festivali I Kenges and the duration has been adapted to the three minute EBU limit for Eurovision.
When asked whether the song would remain in Albanian or performed in another language Mrs Koleci said: "The song will be performed in Albanian. The lyrics have many Albanian metaphors which were very difficult to translate, it didn't sound good in English. We had the same problem last year. That's why we are presenting this song entirely in Albanian and it has nothing to do whatsoever with nationalistic feelings."
The video clip was shot and produced entirely in Albania and it is now heavily rotated on TVSH, the local broadcaster. The red heart in the background refers to title and main theme of the song. Whilst the promotion will be focusing on the region, approximately 1000 CDs and DVDs are currently being dispatched to TV and radio stations all over Europe.
Mrs Koleci also discussed their visit to Belgrade recently: "During our visit in Belgrade, we were presented the head of delegation offices, make up rooms, green room and everything seemed to be ready. The Albanian delegation was very well received, and we were promised extra protection because of the delicate situation in Serbia."
The Albanian delegation will head to Belgrade on the 12th of May. The first dress rehearsals of Albania are scheduled for the 13th of May.
Many thanks to Roni Klein of OGAE Albania for his contribution.

Beautiful heartwarming song. However that kind of classy songs have no chance ın this contest, sad but true. Good luck and love from Turkey

I love this sweet girl, lovely warm voice, great song.
Max Raspail you're so right. Anjeza Shahini = best Albanian entry and a stunning voice. This is nowhere near as good.
I like it, depsite ALbanai won't qualify at least the song is good, and the new version suits good with her voice so... good luck

Nothing compares to Anjeza Shahini...
this song is very much growing on me. Now it's like 18th or 19th but we'll see where it lands in may.... it might even crack my top ten!!!!
as for the contest... i think it might qualify
It's a beautiful song, and well done for keeping it in Albanian. My only gripe is that they have stripped away the backing that I feel added real emotion to the song. I sounds a bit thin without it. Albania have a habit of spoiling their songs (as they did last year and in 2005 when it was ruined). The 2008 song is still great but I'd like to see the backing vocals reinstated. Still gorgeous though.
Great song. Very good luck to Albania.
My no 1 this year! I hope for Tirana 2009.
The best albanian entry since 'Image of You', and I'm glad they're sticking to Albanian as I feel ballads sound better in their native language! Good luck, you WILL make the final this time round.
Apart from VODKA,this is one of my favourites in the 2nd semi-final. GL Albania you have a great song with a great singer!! Well Done! Hope to see you in the finals with MALTA, obviously!lol
good luck albania good luck
olta we love you baby girl
Not a fan not a hater ...... Totally neutral ... On one hand it's nice to see Albania in the final but on the second hand there are soo many better songs that should reach that famous FINAL..... Maybe a dark horse ... Anyway Good luck and bye
I think we have a possible winner here! Very good luck!!
Imagine Tirana 2009!!!!!!!
Albaniaaa!
Amazing song this year, go Olta!
its a very good song and it can do very well! despite with back up voices, that would be fantastic! this way albania will shine on 22th of may... maybe on 24 either!
Very nice ballad song, Albania is in the final and in the top 10
I like the song but why a green/white dress ? The pink one looked good IMO....
I don't know, why it would that be nationalistic - I think it's totaly normal, that song is sung in local language. Well done, Albania, nice song
!
let's see if it will reach the final!
I am glad everything is going well for now... I hope it will stay they same way in semifinal.
i really hope Olta does well she is so sweet and innocent. what a voice for one soooo young, she makes the labanian language which i found rather ugly sound beautiful. good choice to sing in your own language
ok no albania in the final this year either
Such a shame they revamped it and ditched the chorus. It was much better before. Still in for a qualification, I think.
