New version of Day after Day recorded.

Azerbaijan: Song and stage show ready for Belgrade

The Azerbaijani debutants Elnur Huseynov and Samir Javadzade have recorded the Eurovision version of Day after Day. It is understood that significant chances have been made to the song, giving it a more natural and soft sound.

The new version of Day after Day was recorded in Modern World Studio in the UK and utilized a small orchestra to refresh the song.

Following Elnur and Samir’s trip to London, the two traveled to Kiev, Ukraine to work on their vocals and choreography for Eurovision.  The week-long training schedule involved working with vocal teachers¸ ballet dancers and leading choreographers in Ukraine.  The ballet dances will be included in the stage performance which Elnur and Samir will use in Belgrade.

This week the two Azerbaijani artists will now embark on a European promo tour which will start in Andorra.

Azerbaijan particlipates in the Eurovision Song Contest 1st semi-final on May 20th in slot 7.

They arrived this afternoon at MIA about 3pm. A crew of 11 personnel will go around Malta till next Saturday. - lol it looks like they are on holiday instead of a promo tour!

Go Azerbaijan! Don't listen to some unpleasant posts here. Yes maybe you won't be the winner, but one of the best songs of ESC 2008 for sure. After OGAE Cyprus gave Greece 0 points as well as OGAE Turkey gave 0 points to Azerbaijan i don't believe in votings of OGAE and ESCTODAY users. Do your best! Good luck in Belgrad!

Well some may like this song, but unless they both wear gags on the evening, I don't think they could ever improve this song.

Does "a more natural and soft sound" mean they've gotten rid of the HORRID screaming at the start of the song that will prevent the country from qualifying into the final?

Significant or "small chances"? Nah... what's the different! And a possible winner? Don't scare me that way!

Possily winner, or number three for sure??? I don't mean to crush your hope but, I am adraide these to fake angel and devil will be counted lucky if they pass to the final. I have no hope for that, the song is terrible. This will be another smart ass as with Switzerland 2007 that followed lordi's success and created silly idea. LOL
