Iceland: The Euroband video

Euroband, Iceland's 2008 Eurovision Song Contest representatives have unveiled their promotional video for their entry This is my life. The video has been especially made for youtube as a tribute to the lipsynching clips uploaded by fans. You can watch the video below along with a special 'making of the video' video.

The Icelandic video has at last been unveiled and it is a tribute to the efforts of fans to produce their own lip synch videos that can be found on the youtube website. Earlier today, esctoday.com presented a gallery of images from the making of the video. The band will now step up their promotion of the entry, playing in Denmark next week before arriving in London for the UK Eurovision Preview Party.

Click here to see the Making of the video gallery.

Euroband will perform This is My Life first in the 2nd Semi Final on the 22nd May, in Belgrade.

Yes as a matter of fact I am a total loon. Whereas fortunately 99% of people on here are completely sane.

this is hilarious :)
I would love Iceland to win - If they make it to the final and get a good draw they may very well be in contention at the end you know
assuming Denmark Finland and Norway don;t qualify :)

top 5 for me anyway love it

Sorry Molly, but I find your comments to be rather patronising and uninformed and would prefer not to respond from this point onward.

'They're there to show a little enjoyment and sex appeal'? Like the black guys couldn't on their own? You're making me vom now.

Ben

That's that settled then. You're studying media and playstation technology, so you'll know. Thanks for clearing up the mystery of the white couple who do nothing but snog and add nothing to the music or song while the black guys do all the work. Ever wondered why Michael Jackson tried to turn white?

Darko,

Ah yes, snozzberry flavour!! =D

I know this is a very Bree van de Camp thing to say but...I've got to see that wallpaper at least, it can't be all bad. It looks so scrumptious I could lick it.

Molly,

I may have mis-interpreted what you just said, but I'll gladly step up and say that's not what the white couple are about. Obviously they're there to show a sense of enjoyment and a little sex appeal which is typical of most music videos. The colour of their skin has absolutely nothing to do with their reason for being there, nor does it have anything to do with who somebody is as a person.

Ben

And the couple in the UK video are not random. They are cynically white; white so that certain parts of Europe don't have to digest the fact that everyone in the video is black. It's enough to make you vomit. Go on - tell me that's not what the white couple are about. It makes you vomit.

As for the UK they could spent $8,000,000 on making it look cheap with cranes and green screens and bloody glitter balls and the song would still be a steaming pile of.

Molly Parton [29330]

Ben

Er - not cheap in the sense of cost honey. Cheap in the sense of everything else. Everything costs in Iceland, honey, but you can get three glitterballs there for the price of a prawn.

Guys! This video is NOT cheap! It's SUPPOSED to look like a cheap amateur video at first. That's part of the whole concept, and yes it IS supposed to be a joke!

If you actually have a look at the making of the video you can see they use cameras on cranes and green screen technology. The actual video also has great special effects with the swirling light streams and flashes, a nice stage setup for when Fridrik and Regina are there, good lighting, outrageous costumes and make-up and even a big discoball which they can clearly afford to just drop!

My friends, this video was NOT cheap, take my word for it as someone studying media and film-making. :)

As much as I don't want to say it, the preview video that is cheap this year has come from none other than the United Kingdom. It's basically a stage performance on a disco floor which you can hire for a couple of hundred Euros with a random dancing couple. You can even see the door in the room, even if the whole room has been dressed quite nicely.

But it's understandable Andy's video is cheap. He isn't signed with a major record label to pay for a better one.

Do you have any critical faculties about the contest or do you just love it all from pixie boots to top hat?

I wouldn't be surprised if most people in here and in general dont like the video.. we found out when we sent Silvía Night that Europe doesn't have humor :P

Its CAMP not gay!
There are two meanings for Gay in English at the moment and if it was gay in the first and true sense it would be having sex with the same type of video which is impossible
OR
it would be crap, which it isn't
