Malta: D'Nash and Traistariu in Gozo 1234

Popular Maltese local festival Gozo 1234, apart from a host of local stars, will also see this year two former Eurovision Song Contest past participants, Spanish boyband D'Nash and Romanian Mihai Traistariu who will be flying to Malta to join in the festivities.

Held in the first four days of May, the Gozo festival, which attracted over 650.000 visitors last year, promises to be an exciting experience with something for everyone to do and enjoy. The festival will feature "a rich mixture of culture, history, music, food, drama, sport and dance, apart from the fireworks festival which will include fireworks from Malta, Gozo, Denmark and Italy." says Lou Bondi of Burning Spear, organisers of the festival.

According to partner site ogaemalta.com, popular boyband D'Nash, who represented Spain in the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest as well as Mihai Traistariu who placed fourth in the 2006 contest for Romania, will be joining Morena (Malta 2008), Miriam Christine (Malta 1996) and Claudia Faniello (Maltasong 2007, 2008) on the Gozo festival stage this year.

I think that if morena wins it will be a great idea to host the show in gozo lol! noooo but i dont think it would be fair on the maltese lol. I like the idea of the grand harbour. i can imagine something similar to what we had on the 1st May 2004 when we joined eu, with projections on the walls of valletta and fireworks from the harbour and a great stage on the sea designed in the form of a modern boat :P aaa that would be great! that is why you should vote for Malta ;p;p

It will be a fabulous weekend...really guaranteed especially the great firework festival. MALTA & GOZO got everything for great fun...GOZO is more quite & simple...got unique characteristics and great scenaries...

Worth catching the ferry to gozo

Well I preferred Claudia's Caravaggio - it was more of a Eurovision song rather than two fingers up at eastern Europe. If ESC did come to Malta I've got it on good authority that the BBC are willing to contribute to help convert one of the harbours at Valletta into a waterside concert arena, having been there in March, that would be totally amazing.

I think it's the Year for Malta! Vodka is a great song!
If Malta wins it's a garuntee that Malta 2009 will be the best eurovision ever under the sun , in the dimond of the mediteranean.

Good luck Morena and Malta and all the participants this year!!

''the Gozo festival, which attracted over 650.000 visitors last year'' i think this is a mistake, 650.000 wouldn't stay in malta , imagine in gozo :-)
